Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge: Splinterlands Harvest of Heroes - A Thanksgiving Tribute (ENG/ITA)

Thanksgiving, for those of us who do not live in the USA, is remembered as “the turkey celebration”, although in reality it represents a moment of pause, reflection, and gratitude. Its origins date back to 1621, when the Pilgrims, after a very hard year filled with difficulties, scarcity, and uncertainty, decided to celebrate the finally abundant harvest. Despite the challenges and the trials they faced, they still found a reason to give thanks. This is the spirit behind it.

At the beginning of this year, the mood in the crypto world was electric, the Bull Market, sky high enthusiasm, card values constantly increasing… In those conditions, it was easy to feel happy, motivated, ready to grind rankings and collections. Every small milestone felt like a celebration, every new card like a jackpot. And yet, as the months passed, the euphoric wave became calmer, and we now find ourselves in a softer period, sometimes even a bit down. But just like the Pilgrims in their first winter, we too can find reasons to be grateful.

That is why this week’s theme, “Harvest of Heroes”, arrives at the perfect moment. It invites us to look back and recognize what we have gathered, not only when the numbers were green, but also now, when the atmosphere is more reflective. Whether it is an unexpected result, an item earned with patience, personal improvement in the game, or even a small victory that made us smile, each of us has something to be thankful for.

In this post, I want to share my moment of gratitude within Splinterlands, that small “harvest” which, despite everything, made my journey better.

Certainly, the gift I am most grateful for this year in Splinterlands is the Conflicts airdrop from this August. It was the first of the nine conflicts of this new Conclave Arcana edition. Even though I participated with two hundred sixty nine chances, keeping in mind that a guaranteed airdrop is obtained every eight hundred chances, I was lucky enough, at the end of this first phase, to discover that I had received an Airdrop card.

And not only did I receive the legendary card Zyrx The Emberglace, but it was in gold format as well.

Zyrx The Emberglace, a legendary card of the Dragon element and Dragon Bloodline, costs ten mana and at level one offers four armor and speed, ten health, and a double attack composed of five Melee and two Magic, plus the Flying ability, along with the unfortunately dangerous Debilitation Incendiary.

In its later upgrade levels, it gains the Charge, Execute, and Bloodlust abilities. Just make sure you have a Dragon element archon upgraded to a high enough level to summon a legendary card of this caliber.

This battle can serve as an example of a strategy that has now become part of my everyday Splinterlands gameplay.

By using the Dragon element archon Akane, I deploy two heavy hitters with multiple attacks. One of them can only be Zyrx The Emberglace, and the second is almost always Gramel The Hunger. By doing this, I can unleash five attacks even before the battle begins.

In this match, even though the Mana Cap was quite low at only twenty eight, I decided to make room for the Zyrx, Gramel combo, placing low cost monsters in the remaining spots, such as Halfling Refugee, Elanor Bravefoot, and Frigid Wolf.

I am very grateful to have received this card, Zyrx The Emberglace, in gold format through the airdrop, already upgraded to level two, and I hope to receive a few more gifts from the ongoing Conflicts 😀.

Ciao a tutti amici di Splinterlands !!!

Il Thanksgiving, per noi che non viviamo negli USA, rimane impresso per essere "la festa del tacchino", però in verità rappresenta un momento di pausa, riflessione e gratitudine. Le sue origini risalgono al 1621, quando i Padri Pellegrini, dopo un anno durissimo fatto di difficoltà, scarsità e incertezze, decisero di celebrare il raccolto finalmente abbondante , nonostante le sfide e le dure prove affrontate, trovarono comunque un motivo per ringraziare. È proprio questo spirito.

All’inizio di quest’anno, il clima nel mondo cripto era elettrico: il Bull Market, l’entusiasmo alle stelle, il valore delle carte in crescita continua… In quelle condizioni era facile essere felici, motivati, pronti a grindare classifiche e collezioni. Ogni piccolo traguardo sembrava una festa, ogni nuova carta un jackpot. Eppure, col passare dei mesi, l’onda euforica si è fatta più calma, e ci ritroviamo ora in un periodo più “soft”, talvolta addirittura un po’ down. Ma proprio come i Pellegrini nel loro primo inverno, anche noi possiamo trovare motivi di gratitudine.

Ecco perché il tema di questa settimana “Harvest of Heroes” , arriva al momento giusto: ci invita a guardarci indietro e riconoscere ciò che abbiamo raccolto, non solo quando i numeri erano verdi, ma anche ora, quando lo scenario è più riflessivo. Che si tratti di un risultato imprevisto, di un item conquistato con pazienza, di un progresso personale nel gioco o persino di una piccola vittoria che ci ha strappato un sorriso, ognuno di noi ha qualcosa per cui dire “grazie”.

In questo post voglio condividere il mio momento di gratitudine all’interno di Splinterlands, quel piccolo “raccolto” che, nonostante tutto, ha reso migliore il mio viaggio.

Sicuramente, il regalo per cui sono più grato che ho ricevuto quest'anno su Splinterlands, riguarda l'airdrop delle Conflicts di questo Agosto: era la prima delle 9 conflicts di questa nuova edizione Conclave Arcana, pur avendo partecipato con 269 chances, tenendo presente che un airdrop garantito si ottiene ogni 800 chances, ho avuto il piacere, a fine di questa prima fase, di aver scoperto di aver ricevuto una carta in Airdrop.

E non solo ho trovato la carta leggendaria Zyrx The Emberglace, ma era anche di formato oro !

Zyrx The Emberglace: carta leggendaria dell'elemento Dragon e della Bloodline Dragon, per il costo di 10 mana offre, al primo livello, 4 di armor e speed, 10 di health, e un doppio attacco composta da 5 di Melee e 2 di Magic, e l'abilità Flying, e purtroppo, anche la Debilitation Incendiary, una delle più pericolose che ci siano.

Nei livelli di potenziamento successivi, ottiene le abilità Charge , Execute e Bloodlust, ma assicuratevi di aver un archon dell'elemento Dragon potenziato ad un livello abbastanza alto pe poter evocare una carta leggendaria di questo calibro.

Ecco, questa sfida può essere presa d'esempio ad una strategia che ormai è entrata a far parte della quotidianità delle mie battaglie su Splinterlands!

Ovvero, usando l'archon , dell'elemento Dragon, Akane, schiero in campo due pesi massimi che hanno attacchi multipli, di cui uno non può essere che Zyrx The Emberglace, e il secondo è quasi sempre Gramel The Hunger: così facendo, mi posso assicurare di sferrare ben 5 colpi prima dell'inizio sfida.

In questa battaglia, anche se il Mana Cap era abbastanza scarno , di solo 28, ho deciso di fare spazio all'accoppiata Zyrx-Gramel, schierando nelle altre posizioni mostri "low-cost", come Halfling Refugee, Elanor Bravefoot e Frigid Wolf.

Sono molto grato di aver ricevuto in airdrop questa carta, Zyrx The Emberglace, in formato d'oro, e che quindi è già potenziata al livello due, e spero di ricever qualche altro regalino dalle Conflicits in corso 😀.
