Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge: Presale - the last hours (ENG/ITA)

At the time of writing, there's just over a day left until the end of the Presale for the new card edition, Conclave Arcana, and I know — from the comments you've left under my posts — that you've chosen different strategies. All are valid, of course, but they often lead to very different outcomes once the new cards hit the market.

Naturally, once we can finally open our packs, excitement will be sky-high, and we’ll quickly figure out which monsters perform best on the battlefield, which ones best suit our play style, and which are the rarest and most sought after by collectors — also with a view toward financial investment.

Usually, prices skyrocket in the first few days, then settle in the following weeks, and they can drastically change again once we see the airdrop cards from the conflicts. For example, I remember that right after the Rebellion Presale, one of the most expensive cards was the summoner Akane, the first summoner to grant the Ambush ability to two teammates. But after the release of new Conflicts and Promo cards, she’s now down to the sixteenth spot, priced at $17.5.

So, we can summarize the purchasing strategies into two main groups: those who decided to buy a few packs during the Presale, moderately, planning to dive into the market later to grab their favorite cards; and those who went "full force" in the Presale, buying a solid amount of packs to secure the benefits — like the two promo cards, Arcane Skinwalker and Gramel The Hunger.

In my experience, both strategies are valid. In the first case, however, you end up chasing the market — especially if you want to participate in the Conflicts — and you have to match the seller’s price if you want to stock up on Legendary cards for your Wagons, to earn enough points and secure the Airdrop cards.

In the second case, it all comes down to the luck of what you find in the packs you purchased. The feeling right before opening a pack is incredible — hoping to pull a Legendary card or a special Foil. And of course, the more packs you buy, the greater the chances of finding true gems, which you can choose to keep or sell on the market.

And with this new edition, we don’t just have the usual foils and Gold ones — we now have the Black Foil cards: even rarer, already maxed out in level, and offering higher rewards than gold ones.

It will be very interesting to see the prices of these Black Foil cards. Will they go for tens, hundreds, or even thousands of dollars?

I have no idea, but I believe they’ll easily reach the hundreds — it all depends on how rare they are and how many are found in the first opened packs.

According to the stats, many Alchemy packs were sold — these guarantee at least one Gold Foil card and double the chance to find a Black Foil.

I bought one of these, just to try it out, since I focused more on standard packs — although I did grab 2 Legendary packs, because I want to be well-prepared for the Conflicts, with plenty of Legendary cards to place in my Wagons.

But that’s not all!

Now we also have Gold Foil Arcane and Black Foil Arcane versions — cards made specifically for collectors, with special animations and serial numbers. If you’re lucky enough to find one of these, the excitement will be off the charts. I can’t even imagine how much one of those could be worth on the market!!!

Nel momento in cui scrivo, manca poco più di un giorno per la fine della Presale della nuova edizione di carte, la Conclave Arcana, e so, dai commenti che mi avete scritto sotto i miei post, che avete scelto strategie diverse, tutte rispettabili, sia chiaro, ma che ottengono risultato spesso diverse, quando le nuove carte entrano finalmente sul mercato.

Ovviamente, appena potremo scartare i nostri pacchetti, l'entusiasmo sarà alle stelle, e capiremo subito quali sono i mostri più performanti sul campo di battaglia, quali sono quelli che più si adattano al nostro stile di gioco, e quali, invece, sono i più rari e ricercati dai collezionisti, anche in prospettiva di un investimento economico.

Di solito, i prezzi salgono subito alle stelle nei primi giorni, per poi assestarsi nelle settimane seguenti, e potrebbero anche cambiare drasticamente quando vedremo le carte airdrop delle conflicts: per esempio, mi ricordo, che subito dopo la Presale dell'edizione Rebellion, una delle carte più costose fu l'evocatore Akane, primo evocatore a donare l'abilità Ambush a due suoi mostri in squadra, ma con l'introduzione delle nuove carte Conflicts e Promo, adesso è alla sedicesima posizione, con una quotazione di 17,5 $.

Quindi, possiamo riassumere le strategie di acquisto in due gruppi: chi ha deciso di comprare qualche pacchetto nella Presale, con moderazione, ma poi di entrare deciso sul mercato per comprare le carte che desidera di più, e invece chi è entrato "full force" nella Presale, comprando una bella quota di pacchetti, con la certezza di raccogliere i vantaggi, come le due carte promo, Arcane Skinwalker e Gramel The Hunger.

Per la mia esperienza, entrambe le strategia sono valide, ovviamente nel primo caso ti ritrovi a rincorrere il mercato, soprattutto se vuoi partecipare alle Conflicts, e ti devi adeguare al prezzo stabilito da chi vende se vuoi accaparrarti tante carte Leggendarie da mettere nelle tue Wagons, per raggiungere i punti necessari ad assicurarti le carte Airdrop.

Nel secondo caso, invece, tutto sta nella fortuna di quelli che uno trova nei pacchetti comprati: è incredibile la sensazione che si prova prima di aprire un pacchetto, con la speranza di trovare una carta Leggendaria e di Foil speciale, ed ovviamente, più è grande il numero di pacchetti comprati, più è probabile trovare delle vere e proprie gemme, che possiamo decidere se tenere o mettere in vendita sul mercato.

E con questa nuova edizione, non abbiamo più solo i foil normali e Gold, ma abbiamo la Black Foil, ancora più rara, sono già potenziate al massimo livello, e garantiscono rewards più alte di quelle oro.

Sarà molto interessante vedere i prezzi delle carte Black Foil, chi sa se saranno negli ordini delle decine, centinaia, o migliaia di dollari ?

Non ne ho idea, ma credo centinaia di sicuro, tutto dipende da quanto sono rare e da quante ne vengono trovati nei primi pacchetti aperti.

Infatti, dalle statistiche, abbiamo visto che sono stati venduti moltissimi pacchetti, di tipo Alchemy, che danno la certezza di trovare almeno una carta Gold foil, ma il doppio di possibilità di trovare una Black Foil.

Io ne ho presa uno di questo tipo, tanto per provare, perchè mi sono orientato più verso i pacchetti standard, pur prendendo 2 pacchetti Legendary, perchè voglio arrivare ben attrezzato alle Conflicts, con tante carte Leggendarie da posizionare nelle mie Wagons.

Ma non finisce quì !

Ora ci sono anche le versioni Gold Foil Arcane e Black Foil Arcane, carte fatte apposta per il collezionismo, con animazioni speciali e un numero di serie, se avete la fortuna di trovare una di queste, beh, allora l'entusiasmo sarà enorme, non riesco nemmeno ad immaginare quanto potrà valere una di queste carte sul mercato !!!
