Photoshoot Session at the Lake with Khalila

Before I share my photoshoot session with Keny featuring a new concept, I will first share some photos with other models. This time, I will be sharing photos from a session with Khalila. If you often visit my posts, you’ve probably seen several of my photos with her. I frequently invite her for photoshoots because Khalila has a photogenic face, making it easy for her to pose in front of the camera. Plus, I’ve known her for quite a long time, so she feels comfortable and isn’t shy when posing for the camera.

Unlike other models when they first join a photoshoot, they tend to be shy in front of the camera. This is the advantage of working with a model you already know—they won't be hesitant to pose, and it makes directing them much easier and more comfortable.

This photoshoot took place at a lake in my hometown. The location wasn’t ideal, as the lake's water was murky. To get the lake to look better in the photos, editing would be needed, but I didn’t do that since it would take too much time to edit each photo individually. Besides, these aren't for my portfolio—just a casual photoshoot because I was feeling bored.

Even though these aren't for my portfolio, I’ll still make sure Khalila looks beautiful and deliver great photos for her. The more we shoot, the better our photos become, as we start noticing the elements around us that can enhance our shots. And this is, in fact, my true goal.

In this photo, I reduced the clarity and dehaze a bit to create a dreamy look. Although it's far from perfect, I think it turned out quite well. The sunlight during this session was pretty harsh, so in some photos, you might notice significant chromatic aberration. As far as I know, chromatic aberration can also be caused by lenses with inadequate coating.

Additionally, the harsh sunlight during this photoshoot caused Khalila’s outfit to become overexposed. I tried to reduce it, but for some reason, I ended up liking the photos as they are. This is also one of the challenges of outdoor shoots, especially when the model is wearing white. If only the sunlight had been softer, like in my previous session with Nia, I’m sure the results would have been even better.

I hope you enjoy my work this time, even though there are still many imperfections, like the chromatic aberration, the overexposed outfit, and other details. But I always strive to produce good photos, whether they’re for clients or for myself. After this, I’ll be sharing a few more posts before unveiling my portfolio shoot with Keny.

Warm regards.

Your shots are always good, friend. However, there is something lacking in the costume, the color is not suitable for posing outdoors.

Hi, thank you, my friend, for the advice you gave. I don't know, I think a white outfit can sometimes look good too, but the sunlight was quite harsh at the time, so the result wasn't very satisfying.
