Short Trip using LRT and some Golden Hour

Today, I'd like to share a story about my recent short trip to an area in North Jakarta called Kelapa Gading. My motivation for this trip was actually just to try the LRT. On that day, there was a promotion where the LRT ticket was only Rp. 1. It cost next to nothing, so why not?

I have used Jakarta’s LRT before, but for context, there are two LRT routes in Jakarta that aren't integrated yet. One route is quite short, running only from the International Velodrome Arena in Rawamangun to the Kelapa Gading area. Honestly, this route is just too short, and the LRT train consists of only two carriages.

The other route is much more dependable. It runs from Dukuh Atas in Central Jakarta to outer areas like Jatimulya and Harjamukti. The Velodrome route just pales in comparison.

So yeah, I took the LRT from Velodrome to Kelapa Gading. Kelapa Gading is actually known for its culinary scene. There are a lot of spots in the area that sell Chinese food, coffee, and other snacks. The area is quite vibrant.

The weather was really hot that day, so I didn't want to walk around outside for too long. Instead, I went into a coffee shop to cool down and get a cold drink. It was a nice way to relax and escape the heat.

I did some jog too in the Velodrome area, but didn't take pictures. I was just too focused on my pacing. Lol.

After that, I headed back home using the train via Manggarai Station. When I got to the station, it was late afternoon. The light was beautiful—it was golden hour. The sunlight looked amazing on the station and the people passing by. Of course, I had to take a few photos.
