RE: Fork Lift Hunt Continues

Its nice that they let you rent to own, as this is a big purchase, and it is good to be able to test it out for awhile before committing to the purchase. I would imagine that you could even negotiate a better rental rate if the guy believes you might end up buying it off him anyway. I am also warry of fully electric anything recently, as the batteries are always so expensive to replace, and you never really know if you have a good one until it is too late.

The battery fork lifts do not last as long as they should and batteries being the main component are not cheap. We used to have a new Toyota battery forklift but after 5 years the price of the replacement battery was almost the same price as what we had paid for the fork lift 5 years earlier. We sold it for next to nothing and will never get another one ever again. Rent to buy would at least allow me to make sure it is reliable and they are now stalling over my proposal. I will go and see them next week and a deal will be made they just don't know that part yet and will do some quick thinking on my feet with them.
