Reachout and Humanitarian Services
A humanitarian is someone who is concerned with or seeking to promote the welfare of others. They are driven by compassion and fueled by a desire to make the lives of others better or create a lasting impact of other's wellbeing. In the global sphere, humanitarians are like the inconspicuous spices in a delicious meal that are unpronounced yet makes the meal consumption a much better experience. Their acts of love and deeds of compassion brings smiles to the faces of many and warmth to tons of hearts.
There are lots of humanitarian services and outreach. A lot of individuals are involved in helping out underprivileged communities with life's essentials such as clean water, healthy food and decent shelter. Others still are engaged in assisting victims of disaster. There are many others too that are involved in helping out with educational materials for communities with little or no access to education. All these are efforts directed at improving the lives of others within and beyond our individual communities.
As someone that appreciates acts of love and compassion, I have been personally involved with these humanitarian services. Back in 2021, just after the Covid-19 pandemic subsided, I volunteered to teach in a school three times a week. Although it was quite a hassle, my desire to help kids get a standard education motivated me to take this step. It was a thrilling experience for me. I felt so much joy watching the kids faces light up with joy as they learned new things.
Two years later, I ventured into UI/UX design. As a User Experience designer, my focus became at improving the experiences of people around me. Getting started in the niche was not easy but with time, I eased into the role and started thinking of how I could help newbies. I started volunteering again to teach UI/UX design remotely. It was quite tasking at first but I loved teaching and i wanted to assist others so I persisted. It was a very incredible period of my life.

Most recently, I have started volunteering in construction. I am learning new skills everyday and getting to help people is my biggest motivation. It's still very early on in this journey but I am very sure it will be as fulfilling as the others.
Let us all do what we can to help others. If we all can be humans, with a little love and compassion, we can be humanitarians too
