“Hey — I just asked you something… Space, man?”

That’s exactly what my brother Tony said when he saw me with my eyes completely lost, staring at the screen.

According to him, I had been looking at the laptop monitor for a while, doing absolutely nothing — frozen — hands on the keyboard but not moving them. He even said my eyes weren’t moving. He got even more scared when he kept repeating my name, and I didn’t respond. He even thought maybe I was having a heart attack or a stroke.

When he banged the desk hard and threw the question again — “Space, man?” — I reacted and landed. I came back from my trip.

When he realized I was back, he told me what he had seen, what he thought, and how scared he was. That’s when he asked two more questions: “What was happening to you? What were you thinking about?”

I answered that I wasn’t thinking about anything — I was just in my moment, traveling through the universe, looking for a topic to write about for the daily prompt at @Freewritehouse. He stood there with his mouth open and threw one of his classics: “You’re crazy, brother!”

So this time, my brother helped me write this text — and that’s how I completed my five minutes of the day.
