RE: LeoThread 2025-02-27 18:13

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

A male lion is called lion

A female lion is called lioness

So why are both male and female still referred to lions ? Why not lion and lioness ? Lol

Just thinking out loud

#newlion #newlioness

A male Human is a man, a female human is a woman, but both are human. Idk, I see that way. The same way, in Spanish where tons of words are gendered, we say "nosotros" a masculine "we" even if there is just one man in the team, but we say "nosotras" if it's all woman

I believe its easier as Lions is the species and encompasses both male and female, also using both, lions and lionesses takes up a lot of characters on threads
