My Actifit Report Card: January 6 2026

Hello Hive,

It’s now been 4 weeks since I last published anything here. Time flew by, between fatigue, work, and the end-of-year holidays. Today, I finally took the time to write again, on the occasion of my Actifit report from yesterday.
By the way, I wish you all a very happy 2026. I hope it’s starting in the best possible way for you!

For the past two days, it has been snowing where we live. Not spectacular snow, but enough to transform the paths, muffle sounds, and slow down everything that’s going on around us. Yesterday, I decided to go for a run anyway. I have spikes under my running shoes, which helps limit slipping.

I set off for a relaxed run, with no particular goal, except to move a bit and reconnect with running after several days off. In the end, I ran about 4.99 km. Running in the snow requires more attention, you place your foot differently, you move a bit more slowly, but it’s quite pleasant.

The cold stings a bit at first, then the body adapts. I had gloves on and was wearing two pairs of socks. But along the way, I had to remove one pair because I was too tight in my shoes, and that was causing pain in my shins.

I got back tired, but happy to have put on my running shoes under the sun and on the snow. With @altheana, we signed up for a 5 km race in September, and this year I’d also like to complete a 10 km.

I’ll be able to get back into a more regular rhythm, both for running and for writing here. I also came across the Darebee website again, and I’m thinking of picking up a few programs / exercises from there to do something other than just running.

Ça fait maintenant 4 semaines que je n’ai rien publié ici. Le temps a filé, entre la fatigue, le travail et les lfêtes de fin d'année. Aujourd’hui, j’ai enfin repris le temps d’écrire, à l’occasion de mon rapport Actifit d’hier.
Au passage, je vous souhaite à toutes et tous une très belle année 2026. J’espère qu’elle commence au mieux pour vous !

Depuis deux jours, il neige chez nous. Pas une neige spectaculaire, mais suffisante pour transformer les chemins, étouffer les sons et ralentir un peu tout ce qui se passe autour. Hier, j’ai décidé d’aller courir quand même. J'ai des crampons sous mes chaussures de running, ce qui limite mes glissades.

Je suis parti pour une sortie tranquille, sans objectif particulier, si ce n’est de bouger un peu et de reprendre contact avec la course après plusieurs jours. Au final, j’ai couru environ 4,99 km. Courir dans la neige demande plus d’attention, on pose le pied différemment, on avance un peu moins vite, mais c’est assez agréable.

Le froid pique un peu au début, puis le corps s’adapte. J’avais pris des gants et mis 2 paires de chaussettes. Mais en cours de route, j’ai été obligé de retirer une paire car j’étais trop serré dans mes chaussures et ça qui me provoquait des douleurs aux tibias.

Je suis rentré fatigué, mais content d’avoir mis les baskets sous le soleil et sur la neige. Avec @altheana, nous nous sommes inscrits à un 5km en septembre, et cette année, j'aimerais aussi finaliser un 10km.

Je vais pouvoir reprendre un rythme plus régulier, autant pour la course que pour l’écriture ici. Je suis aussi retombé sur le site Darebee et je pense prendre quelque programmes / exercices dessus pour faire aussi autre chose que la course à pied.
