A Very The Cure Eighties Saturday! š¤ DailyJams With Gene & Ashlee! Picking Tunes From Eighties Cure Records! šø

On this Eighties Saturday we both pick tunes from The Cure! Sadly one of the founding members passed away this past week. Thought weād pay tribute and share some of our favorite tunes from the band!

Ashlee goes with late eighties! Picking two songs from the band. First off itās DailyJam āPictures Of Youā from 1989ās āDisintegrationā album. For Bonus Jam itās the classic tune āJust Like Heavenā from the previous record 1987ās āKiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Meā.
Since Ashlee went with the 1987 & 1989 records, Iāll (Gene) go with the 1980 & 1982 early stuff. First up for my DailyJam itās the song āOne Hundred Yearsā from 1982 Album āPornographyā. For my BonusJam I go two records back to 1980ās āSeventeen Secondsā and pick the tune āA Forrestā.

Thanks for dropping by! š¤šø

I like this āFriday Iām in loveā Song by The Cure. Such music is not Made anymore imo. Great!
As a fan of the Cure I almost have one of their songs on each of my playlists.

I especially love the first records, before the āpopā success. But they always had good songs throughout! I just tend to like the early lesser known tunes from many of that eras bands! Pretty much all those āNew Waveā bands started out as punk bands in 1977/1978
Gary Numan, Siouxsie, Joy Division , Killing Joke, most all came from same scene in 1977 or so. What a great era! !LADY !PIZZA
Iām glad to know you always include Cure songs on your playlists. Here goes one I included on my last one. Be sure to read the backstory about this one.

You guys again with The Cure, and me again on a Cure binge. What is it with this band that we all love so much? Just two weeks ago I was again on a Cure binge, I even made a playlist with 12 great songs from their different eras and albums. I leave you here with the first track of the playlist. It is the third track of their 2004 album, Robert Smith himself said itās the best song of that album and itās a song I have always loved. Hope you guys like it.
I actually owned this record (2004). Very interesting! I remember this tune! Great sound!
Hey ever hear this song? Itās Blink 182 but Rob from Cure sings the chorus & co wrote the song. Wait reverse that, Robert sings the verses not the chorus!
