On this Three Tune Tuesday March 11th 2025 I’m (Ashlee) picking tunes solo since Gene already did a solo post over @geneeverett only thing in common is Brody was the wife of the lead singer of Queens Of The Stone Age at the time this came out. All three tunes I pick today are from Brody Dalle! All three tunes are from her 2014 solo record “Diploid Love” after her time as the front women for the punk band The Distillers!
First Tune Up!
It’s the song Meet The Foetus / Oh The Joy
(ft.Shirley Manson) there’s just something amazing at the 3:00 mark and goes strait through that last two minutes of the song! That last two of the five minutes is a beautiful punk rock melody that might be one of my favorite sounds of all time! Shirley from garbage guesting on vocals just makes it extra amazing!
Second Tune Up!
It’s the song Don’t Mess With Me from the same album. Released as a single it didn’t do much in the mainstream but it’s a catchy tune I love!
Third Tune Up!
The opening track from same album as my first tunes picked it’s the song Rat Race!
For my Bonus tune!
It’s a Brody Dalle guessing on the band Garbage song “Garbage - Girls Talk feat. Brody Dalle”
Came out in 2015 as a single and was on the Garbage album No Gods No Masters (2021) years later.
