Skills You will Need for Relevance in This Ever Changing World

Even in our world currently, it is very difficult for a person who isn't skilled to survive in this ever competitive atmosphere but then, things will not be the same in the next 50 years because the world would have changed tremendously but before 50 years, we have 10 years ahead and realistically, there are a lot of things that would have changed in the next 10 years to 15 years. In fact, currently every repetitive task can be handled by Artificial intelligence, so do you think your skill will keep you in business in the next 10 to 15 years? Let's discuss a few skills that will be needed to be relevant in the next 10 to 15 years, skills that automation cannot beat at least for now.

The first skill you need is the ability to adapt and follow trends as soon as possible in this ever changing world of ours. Any skill you are learning when it is too popular is a no because it has become a saturated market and competition is already high. You need to be ready to change very fast and adapt to changes as soon as possible. You shouldn't react to what is around you, rather you should position yourself for what is coming next.

We are in a world of information and with information comes chaos at some point. When information comes, the best thing to do is to transform this information chaos into order, making senses of them and be able to utilize accurate information while sieving fake data away. You should be able to create things out of your insight and be able to capitalize on opportunities.

We are in a world of art and structure, it is your job to bring structure and art into your business and life. Be ready to create what doesn't exist yet and be able to turn it to something that would exist even when people do not see possibilities there. In a predictable and automated world, being able to bring fresh idea is what people will be willing to pay a premium for because a fresh idea will look like a breath of fresh air.

Do you think people are unable to manage their time now, then wait for the next few years and you would see people not being able to attend to their time and to-do list. Being able to manage time and productivity will be one way to move forward in the future. If you are not able to manage your time, the how will you create the best time management structure for yourself in the next few years when automation is almost everything and we have to deal with a lot of temptation that will be taking people's time.

Just like in the past when jobs like typewritter typist became obsolete, some jobs will become obsolete in the future. This is because times are changing and things are changing along side. You would not expect the world to remain in one position, so a lot of people will need to be able to work with whatever machines will be available. When I say the nearest future I mean within the next 5 to 15 years and not the next 50 years so unless you are 70 and you know you are going into retirement, you need to up-skill and be ready for this future.

Currently AI machines like Alexa and Siri can tell anyone Sorry, so this means that a lot of people would be use to a world where people are busy but then if you would be willing to win people's heart and have their money in your pocket, then you need to be sociable and be genuinely empathetic. Technology coupled with the lock down has made us understand that we can easily lose our social skills and currently, a lot of people just work from behind their systems and they do not have the skills to be sociable when it comes to face to face, so having this skill will go a long way than you think in this revolution and people would trust that skill to not being sociable.

On a final note, in all I have said, one last skill you should learn is how to influence people and understand what drives them. You cannot get results if you cannot get people to help you do things. Even if their communication language is not the same as yours, coming down to their level and understanding them is a very important skill.
