Saludos hivers. Mientras en la mayoría de los países esperan la llegada de la primavera para disfrutar del florecimiento de árboles y demás plantas, en Venezuela, somos afortunados de poder apreciar de este acontecimiento incluso durante la época de sequía.

Hello hivers. While most countries await the arrival of spring to enjoy the blossoming of trees and other plants, in Venezuela, we are fortunate to be able to appreciate this event even during the dry season.

En Venezuela estamos en época de florecimiento de los apamates (Tabebuia rosea), la cual ocurre entre febrero y abril, hay muchos a lo largo y ancho de la ciudad, si bien cuando no están en temporada de floración pasan desapercibidos, apenas empiezan a florecer, se convierten en los protagonistas con sus altas copas cubiertas de flores rosadas que no solamente alegran nuestra vista, sino también nos enamoran con su ligero y agradable aroma 🌸😌.

In Venezuela we are in the flowering season of the apamates (Tabebuia rosea), which occurs between February and April, there are many throughout the city, although when they aren't in flowering season they go unnoticed, as soon as they begin to bloom, they become the protagonists with their tall canopies covered in pink flowers that not only brighten our sight, but also make us fall in love with their light and pleasant aroma 🌸😌.

Los apamates son árboles que pueden sobrepasar los 25 metros de altura así que no es fácil poder capturar desde abajo toda su belleza cuando están florecidos. Si ya es hermoso ver todas esas flores cubriendo las copas de estos inmensos árboles, qué decir de la huella que van dejando a su alrededor cuando todas esas flores van cayendo creando hermosos caminos cubiertos de pétalos rosados que en algunas partes se van convirtiendo en alfombras y nos hacen sentir como si estuviésemos en un cuento mágico o flotando entre colores pasteles 🧚🏻‍♀️.

Apamates are trees that can grow to over 25 meters tall, so it's not easy to capture all their beauty from below when they're in bloom. If it's already beautiful to see all those flowers covering the tops of these immense trees, what can we say about the imprint they leave around them when all those flowers fall, creating beautiful paths covered in pink petals that in some places become carpets and make us feel like we're in a magical tale or floating among pastel colors 🧚🏻‍♀️.

Camino por los senderos de cemento y hay flores, esparcidas de una manera perfecta, como si cada una de ellas hubiese sido puesta ahí calculadamente para que todo se vea en armonía y sin espacios vacíos, la combinación con el gris del cemento hace resaltar aún más el rosa. Después me adentro en el bosque y la alfombra de flores se hace más espesa gracias al infinito número de hojas secas que cubren el suelo mezclando sus colores de otoño con el vivaz rosado de los acampanados adornos del apamate, esas lindas florecitas 🌸😊.

I walk along the cement paths and there are flowers, scattered in a perfect way, as if each one of them had been placed there deliberately so that everything looks harmonious and without empty spaces. The combination with the gray of the cement makes the pink stand out even more. Then I enter the forest and the carpet of flowers grows thicker thanks to the infinite number of dried leaves that cover the ground, mixing their autumn colors with the lively pink of the bell-shaped ornaments of the apamate, those pretty little flowers 🌸😊.

Mientras tanto, algunas personas están trotando por los senderos del parque, otras se ejercitan en el área donde están los aparatos, un señor pasea a su perro, a lo lejos escucho las voces de los que están jugando fútbol, hay mucha vida a mi alrededor pero definitivamente nada se escucha más fuerte que las aves, especialmente los entusiastas gritos de los loros, las guacamayas, los conotos y las guacharacas, y de vez en cuando, el grito de algún halcón o de algún gavilán, que se van mezclando con el canto del resto de las aves e insectos que también viven aquí. Inmersa en mis pensamientos, que cuando estoy en el parque no son más que los pensamientos de la naturaleza, yo sigo caminando entre alfombras rosa, tomando fotos, disfrutando del paisaje, viviendo el momento a plenitud. Toda esta belleza será efímera hasta que los apamates vuelvan a florecer 🌸.

Meanwhile, some people are jogging along the park's paths, others are exercising in the area where the equipment is, a man is walking his dog, in the distance I hear the voices of those who are playing soccer, there is a lot of life around me but definitely nothing is louder than the birds, especially the enthusiastic cries of parrots, macaws, conotos and guacharacas, and from time to time, the cry of a falcon, which mix with the song of the rest of the birds and insects that also live here. Immersed in my thoughts, which when I am in the park are nothing more than the thoughts of nature, I continue walking among pink carpets, taking photos, enjoying the landscape, living the moment to the fullest. All this beauty will be ephemeral until the apamates bloom again 🌸.
