La gata en la ventana 🐱🌻🎨 (Pintura en acuarela) / The cat on the window (Watercolor painting) 🐱🌻🎨

Saludos hivers. Aprender a pintar y dibujar gatos de una manera más rápida y detallista se ha convertido en uno de mis objetivos, quiero convertirlos en uno de mis temas más recurrentes en el arte, y por eso me estoy enfocando en conocer muy bien su anatomía, expresiones y cada uno de los detalles que los hacen siempre un motivo muy interesante y bonito para retratar, por supuesto que como parte de este aprendizaje, una de las cosas que también quiero alcanzar y desarrollar es mi propio estilo a la hora de pintar a estos hermosos animales 😸.

Hello hivers. Learning to paint and draw cats more quickly and with more detail has become one of my goals. I want to make them one of my most recurring themes in my art. That's why I'm focusing on getting to know their anatomy, expressions, and every single detail that always makes them a very interesting and beautiful subject to portray. Of course, as part of this learning process, one of the things I also want to achieve and develop is my own style when it comes to painting these beautiful animals 😸.

Sin más palabras, hoy les traigo una nueva creación en acuarela, en este caso, obviamente, de un gato jajaja. Los materiales que utilicé fueron: cartulina, lápiz, borrador, lápiz blanco, una regla, acuarela, pinceles, agua y pintura blanca. Disfruten de este proceso creativo 😻.

Without more talk, today I'm bringing you a new watercolor creation, in this case, obviously, of a cat, haha. The materials I used were: cardstock, pencil, eraser, white pencil, a ruler, watercolor, paintbrushes, water, and white paint. Enjoy this creative process 😻.

Siempre empiezo el boceto simplificando los elementos a través de formas geométricas, me encanta esta técnica y me ha ayudado mucho a mejorar mis habilidades con el dibujo. El protagonista de esta obra de arte es un gato, y su entorno, una ventana.

I always begin my sketch by simplifying elements through geometric shapes. I love this technique, and it has helped me greatly improve my drawing skills. The subject of this artwork is a cat, and its surroundings are a window.

Me inspiré en la gata de mi hermana que es una gata blanca con algunas manchas negras, aquí en Venezuela les decimos, vaquitas 🐄 jejeje, al menos que estemos trabajando sobre un papel de colores, el blanco no se pinta, así que lo que irá marcando la figura serán las sombras. Usé gris para definir el sombreado, y negro para pintar algunas partes de esta gatita, que en este caso son la cola y la cabeza, usé rosado para el interior de las orejas.

I was inspired by my sister's cat, which is white with some black spots. Here in Venezuela, we call them "vaquitas" (little cows) 🐄 hehe, unless we're working on colored paper, white can't be painted, so what will mark the figure will be the shadows. I used gray to define the shading, and black to paint some parts of this kitten, which in this case are the tail and head, I used pink for the inside of the ears.

Esta curiosa gata esta sobre el muro de la ventana contemplando el paisaje. Comencé a pintar la ventana y el muro.

This curious cat is perched on the window wall, gazing at the landscape. I started painting the window and the wall.

Esta es la ventana de una cocina así que pinté las cortinas con motivos de girasoles, no solamente porque son muy comunes para estos espacios, sino porque las de la cocina de mi casa también son así jejeje 🌻😁. Es la hora del atardecer y el sol crea luces y sombras sobre la cortina, así que las definí con gris.

This is a kitchen window, so I painted the curtains with sunflower motifs, not only because they're very common in these spaces, but because the ones in my kitchen are also like that, hehe 🌻😁. It's sunset time, and the sun creates light and shadows on the curtains, so I defined them with gray.

Llegó el momento de darle vida a esos ojos felinos, elegí amarillo y verde para darle impacto a su mirada y para que a la vez combine con las cortinas.

The time has come to bring those feline eyes to life. I chose yellow and green to give her gaze impact and to match the curtains at the same time.

Pinté de negro el fondo y las pupilas de la gata que apenas son una rayita ya que están recibiendo toda la luz del atardecer. También agregué algunas sombras en su rostro y orejas y pinté de rosado su naríz y labios.

I painted the cat's background and pupils black, which are barely visible since they're receiving all the light from the sunset. I also added some shadows to her face and ears, and painted her nose and lips pink.

Como no tengo un pincel ultra fino, utilicé un lápiz para dibujar los pelitos de las orejas, y un lápiz de color blanco para los bigotes y las vibrisas. Y por último, añadí algunos detalles mas al muro y unos puntos de luz en sus ojos con pintura blanca.

Since I don't have an ultra-fine brush, I used a pencil to draw the ear hairs, and a white pencil for the whiskers. Finally, I added a few more details to the wall and some highlights in the eyes with white paint.

Y este es el resultado final. Mientras el sol va bajando y despidiéndose, llenando todo a su alrededor con los últimos rayos dorados del día, la gata lo contempla desde la ventana de la cocina como lo hace todas las tardes.

And this is the final result. As the sun sets and bids farewell, filling everything around it with the last golden rays of the day, the cat watches it from the kitchen window as she does every evening.
