Girasoles al final de un paseo 🌻🏃🏻‍♀️ / Sunflowers at the end of a walk 🌻🏃🏻‍♀️

Saludos hivers. Hay muchas flores que destacan por su aroma, su forma o su belleza, aunque los girasoles no tienen aroma, sí que destacan por su belleza y su llamativa forma que nos recuerda al astro rey. Originario del continente americano, el girasol es una de las flores más hermosas que podemos conseguir con facilidad en las floristerías y los jardines, y que gracias a la intensidad de su color atrae rápidamente las miradas donde quiera que esté.

Hello hivers. There are many flowers that stand out for their aroma, shape, or beauty. Although sunflowers don't have any aroma, they do stand out for their beauty and striking shape, reminiscent of the sun. Native to the American continent, the sunflower is one of the most beautiful flowers we can easily find in flower shops and gardens. Thanks to its intense color, it quickly attracts attention wherever it is.

Había ido a un evento de exhibición e intercambio de semillas en la Escuela Agroecológica Indio Rangel, ubicada al extremo oeste de la ciudad, y al terminar decidí caminar para explorar un poquito los alrededores del lugar, en el mismo, hay varios sembradíos de verduras y hortalizas, hay un rebaño de cabras, gallinas, vacas, entre otras cosas, y también había un pequeño huerto con girasoles, no había muchos pero eran suficientes para capturar mi atención así que les hice unas fotos y las comparto con ustedes en esta caminata de los miércoles 🌻🏃🏻‍♀️.

I had gone to a seed exhibition and exchange event at the Indio Rangel Agroecological School, located on the western edge of the city, and when I finished I decided to walk around to explore the surroundings a little. There are several vegetable and garden fields, a herd of goats, chickens, cows, among other things, and there was also a small garden with sunflowers. There weren't many, but they were enough to capture my attention, so I took some photos and shared them with you on this #wednesdaywalk 🌻🏃🏻‍♀️.

El girasol o Helianthus annuus como se le conoce científicamente, es una flor polifacética ya que no solamente se utiliza de manera ornamental en jardines y arreglos florales sino que también nos proporciona alimento a través de sus semillas las cuales se pueden comer solas o transformadas en aceite vegetal. Este huerto era bastante pequeño así que no creo que fuesen para consumo.

The sunflower, or Helianthus annuus as it's scientifically known, is a versatile flower. It's not only used as an ornamental flower in gardens and floral arrangements, but it also provides us with food through its seeds, which can be eaten alone or processed into vegetable oil. This garden was quite small, so I don't think they were for consumption.

La mañana había estado nublada y más temprano había llovido, de hecho, mi hermana yo llegamos un poquito tarde al evento porque cuando estábamos listas para irnos empezó a llover y tuvimos que esperar que escampara para salir de la casa 🤷🏻‍♀️. Nos encanta caminar así que queríamos ir a pie hasta allá, el recorrido es de unos 20-30 minutos más o menos y a medida que nos vamos alejando de la ciudad el entorno se va volviendo más verde y tranquilo 🌳🌴🌿.

The morning had been cloudy and it had rained earlier, in fact, my sister and I arrived a little late to the event because when we were ready to leave it started to rain and we had to wait for it to stop to leave the house 🤷🏻‍♀️. We love walking so we wanted to walk until we get there, the walk is about 20-30 minutes or so and as we move away from the city the surroundings become greener and quieter 🌳🌴🌿.

Había pasado varias veces por este lugar en autobús y me llamaba la atención pero nunca había entrado y la verdad es que me pareció muy agradable, está rodeado de montañas y naturaleza por todos lados. Nos regresamos caminando jejeje 😃🏃🏻‍♀️.

I'd driven past this place several times on the bus, and it caught my eye, but I'd never been inside. I actually found it very nice; it's surrounded by mountains and nature on all sides. We walked back, hahaha 😃🏃🏻‍♀️.
