Dal Lake In Srinagar, jammu & Kashmir

Today i would like share "Dal Lake" asia second largest lake in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir which is also know as heaven in India After completing my trip to maa vaishno devi then I move to Srinagar for one night stay at Houseboat, i was super excited for houseboat I was wandering how a boat can have rooms to stay.

I stayed one night at houseboat, there was separate three rooms in the house in thr boat with attached washrooms, there was dinning area along with lobby area, it was first experience of staying at house home, it was beautiful and fantastic. I was super tired, slept early that night.
I had a word with a Shikhara(house boat) owner and he had instructed me to be ready at 06:00 am to start our ride to the floating market. It was my first night on bed The excitement to experience this event was at High level, and he was waiting for me at the entrance of my houseboat with my breakfast (Poha & Tea). It was really really wonderful experience to be at floating market, Imagine, there was an entire city under water where you could go for shopping via your shikara. There was an shikara ambulance, a school shikara which used to pick up and drop children to school, and a restaurant on the side of the lake where you go by shikara ride

One of the most amazing place where nature and art get together. The place is impressive and hosts water market, boat houses, old villas from colonial times and even floating markets, ambulance, floating restaurant, small cultivating area where local people grow and harvest vegetables. Early morning ride with a boat through the low hanging trees with beautiful sunrise view between the snowy mountains is most cherished moments of my life.
