Camping in remote places is something I'm very comfortable with; I have no fear or worry about being in remote and far away places, I thrive in them.
I love the simplicity of it and the way that I seem to feel so disconnected from the modern world. Places like in these images make it easy to feel that as it's an ancient place...it was once at the bottom of an ocean, and it has a way of making a person feel small, overshadowed by something far larger and significant than a person could ever be.
I feel privileged to have the ability and means to get myself to places like this, that I have the chance to make fire, eat basic but wholesome food and spend time with my special girl in places that most people will never see with their own eyes.

Can you see the path? It's deer path, of course. No people around here in a long time.
True, civilization is a stone's throw away, not like in your outback. But still, no people, peace and quiet and nature. Precious time indeed.

That image looks a lot like parts of Australia, it's the sort of terrain I love although I love everything about the outdoors. It looks like a great spot for a hike. Also, I'm a hunter so if there's deer there then I'd have a crack.

If someone who pursues luxurious desires gets the opportunity to enjoy the rarity and simplicity of life, they may fall in love with it forever.

Yes, a few years ago I spent a few days in a treetop hut in a forest. I still feel that simple feeling today. I camp near the Yala and Kumana reserves only three times a year and have had wonderful experiences there.

It's true, very few people will ever get to see these wonderful places. It really is an incredible landscape, far away from everything, where you can breathe in nature and think about its greatness, about how much it gives us selflessly. The photos are fantastic. Looks like a pretty cool place to hang out! I'd like to do some more off the grid camping, but I am not sure my wife would enjoy it as much. I'd need to pick up some solar panels first I think.
Yep, solar panels are important. I have 700w plus my plug in external feeding 600ah of lithium batteries. But when I take my swag, none of that. There's a certain feel when sleeping on the ground, make me feel more simple and connected to the planet.
My body just isn't made for sleeping on the ground anymore! I can't imagine how tight my back would be the next day!

I get you, when I was in porto santo, we went to a fossil desert, there was totally nothing around, not even the road to reach it, you felt disconnected from modern world from real, seeing it far away... We didn't have the privilege to eat there like you tough
It's a cool place to be, away from everyone and having the need for self reliance. I like fossils, always make me feel young, considering how old they are.

Hello @galenkp, a beautiful place to enjoy nature and admire its wonders. Disconnecting from the urban hustle and bustle is an excellent way to recharge and relax. I love urban environments, and my recent trip to the countryside was spectacular.

Nothing makes you feel younger and more vital than spending time in ancient landscapes. Some people say the same of botox and copious amounts of alcohol 😆 ...I tend to disagree 😂
Yeah, it's the wilderness for me for sure. I mean, I've been to some amazing cities around the world, delved into the history, the culture and other things, but I feel at home in far away places.
