More Communication
We can see more focus on communication recently on Hive, in various ways.
For example, when checking out X today to see if I missed anything related to Hive, I noticed 3 consecutive daily X spaces hosted by Web3 Global and powered by Hive, which have been shared by the official Hive account on X. Each of them had Crim among the speakers and had different themes from games to AI. I only discovered them a few minutes ago, but you can check them out...
Also, in discord, there's more activity on the voice side, with multiple shows that I discovered lately. Of course, for me at least, it helps when details/recordings of the shows are posted on Hive.
We had @taskmaster4450 invited on episode 4 of Hive Thrive with @buttcoins and @shadowspub as hosts.
Top witnesses @arcange and @roelandp were invited at the "Witness Smackdown" on the same Hive Thrive series, hosted in collaboration with Woo.

LeoDex v3 is Coming
As we find out from X, LeoDex v3 should be coming very soon.
It's more important what it features:
The X post has been reposted by the Hive official account and Thorchain, at least. It's unfortunate this happens in such a hard time for Thorchain, but things are what they are for them... It's not like we are at the top of the world either.
Also, Rango created an X post announcing the partnership. The news was picked up by Defi News.
Voting on Splinterlands for TheDappList Finally Started
After some misunderstands and postponing, the voting on Splinterlands on TheDappList application has finally started. Make sure you cast your vote!
Hive at Aleph Hub
It's normal your first question would be what is Aleph Hub. To quote from the post, it is "a non-profit association, which is responsible for providing spaces for Argentine Web3 projects". It looks like a free opportunity for Hive to be present in this huge coworking space. Some business opportunities may arise from this.
In another post, the same @fermionico talks about building connections outside Hive as a way to help Hive thrive. He links to one of his articles published in an Argentinian media website, which apparently triggered another article in CoinTelegraph (the Spanish version) about VSC.
More Hive Boreholes...
Did you know there is a kind of a "borehole" project in Latin America, too? I don't know if they do any kind of drilling. From the post it seems more like transporting water on some distance, rather than drilling for it.
Also, work is under way for the 21st borehole in Ghana...

Hive Keychain Updates
Hive Keychain updated both their extensions and mobile apps to include domain blacklisting, Hive URI support, and a revamp of two Android widgets (for HIVE/HBD price, and portfolio).
Work on Hive Debit
This post is a progress update for work on Hive Debit, since the DHF proposal got funded.
New Mobile Apps from Ecency
Ecency announced they have updated their mobile apps in both the App Store and Google Play. The new versions are presented as faster and improved compared to the old ones.
New Version of WP-DApp
WP-DApp is a WP plugin that integrates Hive into Wordpress websites. The post describes what's already done and working, how to install and use it if you own a WP blog and want to integrate Hive into it, and what's next.
Rethinking Author Rewards?
It seems and I've also seen some talk about curation and author rewards lately. We can find a list of the potential problems identified as well as potential solutions in this post. Comments are even more important in these kinds of posts that are conversation starters.

New Version of SPS Validator Software
This is for SPS validator node operators. If you have a node running, know that in about 10 days the updated version will go live (at which point, I believe the old version won't work anymore, so it's similar to a HF?). Anyway, get informed and get ready!
New Achievement to Claim on Holozing
Holozing players who participated in the Advent Calendar challenge in December can now claim the new achievement based on their performance. This hasn't yet been announced as far as I know, I just discovered it on the website.
Music Lessons Costs Changed in Rising Star
I already had noticed that in the game, but there was also an announcement in Discord, about the change to the FAQ on this subject. From my personal observations, if you want to optimize cost and not time, it could make sense to play a mission that rewards less skill at a lower cost than to go for the highest rewarded skill at a higher cost. At least, that is in my case.

Fidelity Introduces Crypto IRAs for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin
This seems like a bullish news, doesn't it?
I'm not particularly sure if that's the first method to fund your pension with crypto (probably we are talking about fiat linked to the price of crypto, not base-layer crypto). Likely this is only available in the United States. I haven't heard of anything similar in the EU yet.
Binance Introduced a CEX to DEX Feature
For the ease of use of newcomers in the space, it's likely a welcomed development, which will likely be adopted by all major exchanges.
Basically, you can use funds on Binance (USDC and other supported coins) to buy assets on chains like Ethereum, Solana, Base, BSC. Here are some details.

You got your post out before me this week! I had seen some of these stories. The changes in Rising Star mean I need to review my strategy. I have to focus on certain things due to the increased costs.

Yep, I usually see your post already published once I finish mine and publish it (looked for it this time too).
The changes in costs may have some effects on the medium term that we already don't see now. I kind of worry if I'll be able to keep running the daily Millionaire mission. Most likely I'll focus on buying specific cards rather than packs in the future, to keep this going.
I like hive debt card, however I can't see it used on western countries
Depends what you mean by "western countries", lol. I do see a market for them in LATAM. Not in developed countries, not even in my country which isn't a 1st tier country or western. But time will tell how use cases, particularly for Lightning expand, and if they do, then it would become useful in other places.

The Hive debit card could be really useful in places where banking is tough. Good to see progress on it man
I agree. I keep looking to see how this project gets developed because it can improve adoption and increase the use of HBD as a currency.

The Rising Star changes have been happening quite a bit. They are revamping quite a few different things. I think we will see more changes.
I don't know what their intentions are going forward, but these changes probably messed up quite a few plans.
