Why spend hours scrolling through other people's success stories when actually working on your own project(s) is what moves you forward?
That's why social media turned into an attention economy. Those who have more attention (deserved or not), are more likely to make it in the social media space, sometimes in the detriment of those who follow their success stories. But there are things beyond social media, which may bring us satisfaction or success, in today's world. And we shouldn't neglect them.

Right. Attention is concentrated towards a select few which establishes the standard of aspiration for the rest and sometimes this standard can be quite unrealistic, too. So people end up getting sucked further to achieve what's more or less an illusion.
I love this! It's why I always make sure to completely log off from social media whenever I'm out and about IRL.
