Proof of Life :-) Kinda...

It's amazing how easy one ditches good habits, regardless of whether something else good replaces them or not.

Just a few months ago and for a long while before, I had the habit of writing daily posts on Hive. I still consider that to be a good habit. Why I stopped doing that, it doesn't even matter anymore. Then, there were a few posts every week, then I tried to hold myself to a post every week at least, but eventually failed at that too. And here I am now trying to make sure I still post monthly... What a change over a relatively short period of time!

And no, price (of HIVE or crypto in general) doesn't have much to do with this. I don't know if it would have helped if we were in a bull market now... for the posting habit, I mean.

I am still active on Hive daily, but not as active as before. Surprisingly, something kinda of on Hive like the Moon game (at least related to Hive and with owners on Hive) keeps me busier than it should, if I were to think to my own good, lol. I guess I love to build things in games...

A few days ago, @acidyo asked for a proof of human (humans to comment on his post). This post is partially inspired by that. Ironically, today's AI agents could very well do that, so that's not a very reliable test. But still, it's a good incentive for the community. Another irony is that the image below with a heart beat was created by an AI model...

The world is moving at an incredible pace. I can barely keep up with the things I am interested in, and I'm telling you, that happens even when I try to focus. Information overload is one of the plagues of this era, with all that is derived from it (distraction, lack of focus, productivity hit, manipulation, lack of trust, antagonizing groups of people or nations against each other, etc.).

On Hive, today is the monthly Power Up Day. I haven't missed one since September 2022...

When it comes to the Power Up Month challenges, despite my lower activity on Hive especially on the social side since last year, I kept them going. Haven't missed a day of powering up since July last year. Although I see there haven't been any badges for the last 3 months. But the "proofs" are there.

Hope you guys (and gals) are doing fine!

Happy Power Up Day!

and... Hive On! :-)

I've don't think I have missed a power up day. I don't tend to post every day, but I do some for my runs and a few regular ones. I'm always trying to add some value, but I don't expect people to be reading everything. I'll get automatic votes anyway, but it's just a couple of bucks, so no big deal.

Activity mat have gone down and the price will be a factor in that. I have people I like to follow as they post cool stuff. We need content for every taste, but have not reached critical mass.

I hope life is treating you well.

At the end of the day, I check on my Hive feed to see what people have been posting. There was a time a little while back when I could only see a couple of posts in 24h on my feed. But now it seems the activity has picked up a little again (or may be only my impression).

Critical mass is not close, but I have heard people in crypto unrelated to Hive talking about crypto social media as something the industry should try more seriously. I have no idea if they knew about Hive, but looks like there is a need for something like that in this space. So we should keep our spirits up.

Life has its twists and turns. Never all good or all bad, I guess.

Thanks for dropping by!

Life is short enough, do what you want to, if you don't want post even weekly, don't

That's true, life is short and the older we get the more we realize that.

Happy HPUD, and things happen. Once you break a habit, it's hard to get back into the same schedule if you aren't focused on it.

Thanks! I don't even try to get back into it. My focus is elsewhere now, and writing a post daily would shift my focus from that for too long when it might need attention.

I have to admit that I'm struggling to keep myself active and motivated on HIVE... On one side, seeing some of the biggest whales of HIVE having 0 idea about how things can quickly go into a negative direction... And on the other side, these AI developments give me hope that things can change rapidly... Unfortunately, it can be in both directions, especially with higher inflation here on HIVE...

All in all... It's nice to see cards shuffling when we have bear markets...

I hope you are doing well and keep the spirits high! 😃 (not sure if I'm telling this to you, or to myself too... 😂)

Yeah man! Things can easily turn very ugly quickly and we see examples almost every day. I guess people are innately optimistic (some more than others), but life changes some of us. Otherwise, there wouldn't have been so many tourists in Dubai when war was clearly about to begin next door...

AI is a wild card. Can be wildly good or bad. Depends a lot on who uses it, and what it learns. Also depends on what happens to us next.

My spirits are surprisingly high, given what's going on everywhere around us, and it obviously affects us/me too, both economically and emotionally. Keep going!
