Espero se encuentren muy bien, el día de hoy les traigo el proceso de esta ilustración que realice recientemente, después de estar bastante ocupada con los proyectos de la universidad pude conseguir un tiempo para realizar una ilustración en donde pudiera colocar todo lo que he estado aprendiendo asimismo esta ilustración nació de qué hace poco salió una canción de la banda Falling in Reverse que se llama "God is a Weapon", luego de escucharla y que me gustara un montón quise hacer un retrato de Ronnie, el vocalista principal de la banda. Hello my creative friends at hive! I hope you are doing well, today I bring you the process of this illustration that I made recently, after being quite busy with college projects I could get some time to make an illustration where I could put everything I've been learning also this illustration was born because recently came out a song of the band Falling in Reverse called "God is a Weapon", after listening to it and I liked it a lot I wanted to make a portrait of Ronnie, the lead singer of the band. Materiales/Materials

• Lo que utilice para realizar el dibujo tradicional fue una hoja tipo cartulina, un lápiz de grafito, un borrador moldeable, acuarela, marcadores y un corrector líquido blanco.

• What I used to make the traditional drawing was a sheet of cardboard, a graphite pencil, a malleable eraser, watercolor, markers and a white liquid corrector.

Comencé realizando el boceto con color morado para que fuera más fácil el borrar las líneas, fue un poco complicado hacer la pose y la zona de los tatuajes ya que a parte de que son muchos la pose no está del todo de lado entonces es un poco más difícil hacer que todo quede simétrico. Continúe usando las acuarelas primero delimitando las zonas con sombras y también haciendo el tono base de toda su piel, para este use una mezcla entre naranja y blanco. Para los labios mezcle dos tipos de rojo para que tuviera un acabado más oscuro y neutral.

I started making the sketch with purple color to make it easier to erase the lines, it was a little complicated to make the pose and the tattoo area because besides that there are many tattoos the pose is not completely sideways so it is a little more difficult to make everything symmetrical. Continue using the watercolors first delimiting the areas with shadows and also making the base tone of all his skin, for this use a mix between orange and white. For the lips I mixed two types of red for a darker, neutral finish.

Continue trabajando las capas del tono de su piel y fui agregando más tonos de rojo y naranja para así crear un tono más saturado sin embargo no lo sobrecargue mucho porque quería destacar más los tatuajes. Para el cabello y los tatuajes use una mezcla de azul oscuro y negro para tener un tono base del cual luego detallaría. Oscurecí más zonas de su rostro y labios y poco a poco fui construyendo todo el tono base del dibujo. Luego de que se fueran secando fui agregando más capas, lo importante de las capas es que mientras más se agregan más se verá la tonalidad del color. Así fue como fui construyendo sus tatuajes los cuales tenían tonos morados, azules y rojos.

I continued working on the layers of her skin tone and added more shades of red and orange to create a more saturated tone but I didn't overdo it too much because I wanted to highlight the tattoos more. For the hair and tattoos I used a mix of dark blue and black to have a base tone which I would detail later. I darkened more areas of his face and lips and little by little I built up the whole base tone of the drawing. After they were drying I added more layers, the important thing about the layers is that the more you add the more you will see the tone of the color. That's how I was building his tattoos which had purple, blue and red tones.

Este es el resultado del dibujo, luego de tener la ilustración completada con las acuarelas comencé a usar los marcadores para acentuar tanto su rostro como sus tatuajes, con los marcadores realice varios degradados en los tatuajes con un degradado de azul, morado, fucsia y rojo. Con el color rojo de las acuarelas construí el fondo y luego con marcador rojo y azul delinee todo el contorno del dibujo. Para terminar use el corrector líquido blanco para hacer los brillos de su ojo, el cabello, algunos de los tatuajes y su arete en forma de cruz. Durante todo el proceso de este dibujo estuve escuchando muchísimo varias de las canciones de la banda, aunque es una banda bastante problemática (por Ronnie principalmente) aún así tienen unas canciones súper pegadizas muy al estilo emo scene, este estilo es visto en bandas como Pierce the veil, Paramore y Black veil brides. El proceso fue bastante agradable ya que me daba mis descansos mientras se secaba por lo que podía refrescar mi vista y al volver tenía nuevas ideas para agregarle. ❤️✨

This is the result of the drawing, after having the illustration completed with the watercolors I began to use the markers to accentuate both his face and his tattoos, with the markers I made several gradients in the tattoos with a gradient of blue, purple, fuchsia and red. With the red color of the watercolors I built the background and then with red and blue marker I outlined all the outline of the drawing. To finish I used the white liquid concealer to make the sparkles of his eye, the hair, some of the tattoos and his earring in the shape of a cross. During the whole process of this drawing I was listening a lot to several of the band's songs, although it's a very problematic band (mainly because of Ronnie) they still have super catchy songs very much in the emo scene style, this style is seen in bands like Pierce the veil, Paramore and Black veil brides. The process was quite enjoyable as it gave me my breaks while it dried so I could refresh my view and when I came back I had new ideas to add to it. ❤️✨
