The Simple Things Of Life

Happiness is not just free but all
around us, no matter where we are or our circumstances. The beauty of life is that we are surrounded by many simple yet beautiful things that can bring joy and happiness to our hearts. Most especially when we can let ourselves feel this beauty and enjoy their blessings.

In my daily life, there are many simple things that I'm grateful for. Whenever I think of them or in their presence, my happiness is full and my heart rejoices.

The sunsets

I found sunsets to be amazing and they fascinated me a lot. It is a reminder to me that no matter what happens today there can always be a better tomorrow. At the back of my house, I have a spot where I get to stand as much as I can to watch and immerse myself in the beauty of the sunset. It is very soul soothing and I'm always grateful for every sunset I get to witness.

My family🥰

Waking up to see these two every day, striving to give them my best, and watching them strive is the most beautiful thing in my life. My family is my everything and each smile from them gives me happiness. Having them is the greatest gift life has given me. They are my inspiration a lot of the time, they are my strength, and in my low moments, they give the push that I need to keep on forging ahead.

Mummy's Little Helper

This is my baby rocker, gifted to him when he was born by a friend. At first, he did not like it that much but with time, it has become his favorite place in the house.

Whenever he is upset or even falls sick, once I put him on this rocker, he gives me beautiful smiles, like, oh Mom everything is alright now.

Even when he doesn't want to take his food, all I need is to put him here and he will happily open his mouth to eat.

This rocker has become my favorite thing in the house, I called it Mummy Little Helper. It made my baby very happy and a happy baby means a happy mom. Every day I'm grateful to my friend for giving him such a thoughtful gift.

When It is time for his sleep or nap, all it takes is to just rock him on it for less than ten minutes and he is already in the dreamland, while I have all the time to myself to do other things like hiving.

With this rocker, I'm creating a lifelong memory with him that even when he outgrows it, the beautiful time will always be in my heart.

Being with Nature Generally

Around Six months ago, hubby and I decided to take advantage of the land readily available at his workplace to grow some food crops we could eat, and for our food sustainability. The image above is that of our bambara nuts just before their full maturity for harvest. We are already harvesting and the yield has been bountiful.

Working on the farm has been amazing. It is something I long for and look forward to, not only that it made me feel more alive when we visited the farmland as I got to explore the beauty of nature in my presence. Being in a natural environment generally has always been a thing in my heart.

Exploring Food

As a natural-born foodie😊, exploring simple and different types of delicious and healthy recipes gives me joy, most especially the ones my family and friends love when I serve them. This has made the kitchen my favorite place in the house. Every day I look forward to that time of the day when I get to cook or try out a new-found recipe. Most of the time, in my exploration I discovered delicious varieties of meals that we get to enjoy. Have you ever imagined what life would be like without food? I never like to imagine it lol 😆
