Do you feel older or younger for your age?
Growing up, I have always looked younger than my age—slim body, innocent face, tiny voice. I had to speak loudly before someone could hear me lol, compared to other people my age. When I graduated from secondary school, people hardly believed I wasn't still a secondary school student, and when I entered higher institutions their belief that I should be in secondary school didn't change much. People would initially treat me like a small girl until they had an engagement with me beyond my physical appearance. And they would be like, wow, aren't you a bit more mature than your age? I usually smile and let things slide.
I love this look and body of mine. In a world where people spend so much money on supplements and even surgery to look younger, I kind of feel lucky, you know. But on the downside, sometimes it makes people underestimate me until I have to prove my worth. There are times this exposes me to bullies who think they can ride over me, but it's always fun putting such people in their place hehe.
Few months to my wedding, I had sent an invite to one of our new family friends, and he was in shock as to why a girl who should still be in school would be thinking about marriage, and when I told him I graduated six years earlier, he found it so hard to believe.
Immediately after the pregnancy of my son, I gained some weight which made me look more mature than my usual look. I remember people treating me with a bit more respect back then, and then a few months into breastfeeding, all the fat was gone. That was when I would meet someone for the first time and they wouldn't be able to tell if I'm married or not. Most people would just assume I'm just a girl who still lives under the care of her parents lol. It's funny 🤣 how people can just assume things like that by looking at physical appearance. They might have thought the wedding ring on my finger was for fashion lol.
There was a time my youngest brother, who I senior with nine good years, visited me for the first time in this town, and people who I hadn't introduced him to would first assume he was my elder brother 😂, while those people who didn't know my husband used to think we were couples until I told them who he is to me. And they would be like, what 🙄?
How do I feel about this mentally?
I do not let my worth be determined by my physical appearance. Inside of me, I feels young and lively when I think about my age. I feel it's cool, I enjoy looking younger than my age on the outside while I focus my inner energy on growing and adding values to my life. I believe this look of mine has to do with my family gene, as some of my siblings look this kind of way, plus I do my best to eat healthy in order to maintain the young look, as I intend to enjoy this look as long as I can.

Finally, someone who faces the same problem like I do. Before tapping my side, I must say I love how confidently you embrace the way people perceive you, even when they underestimate you because of your gentle or younger look. It is inspiring how you have turned something others (read: me 🤭) label as a 'problem' into a quiet strength.
I could relate more than I expected. I also face the same “positive problems", where people genuinely tell me I should not be here, not because I lack ability, but because I do not fit their expected image. Although, I have a good height, my voice is pretty much normal, but whenever I am with my group, I am considered the youngest among them. While, in reality, I am the eldest one sitting there. At first it used to confuse me, I never felt bad about it. Still, common, do not judge me by looks. I used to say that maybe it is time I should start carrying my birth certificate, so that they will believe me. Well, over time I learned, just like you, that people’s assumptions say more about them than about us. And honestly, proving them wrong has its own sweet satisfaction.
To be honest, you actually look a lot younger, if I had not read the post, I would had said the same things. Isn't it a compliment 🤭.

Yes, there are lot of people who always ride people thinking they are younger than them unknowingly maybe they're even elder than them. People always think My sister @princessbusayo is the younger sister to her younger brother and sister. If people sees her they will be like how's your elder brother and if she tell them she senior him they won't believe all because of her small body. It happens like that sometimes.
Yeah, it's happens sometimes due to the size of our body. We just have to make people not to walk over us due to the size of our body.
Honestly, it's quite funny how some people belittle ohers just by their physical appearance.

There are people who will always use how we look against us, things like, you are too fat, you are too short, you are too tall, you are too dark and the list continues.
We just have to learn how to embrace our look and enjoy who we are regardless.
It's just like my case, but we have the best look, I must say.

Yes, that is true. There are people who will always try to judge us by how we look no matter what. We just have to learn how to ignore them and enjoy our looks.

Till date people don't believe my immediate younger sister when she tells them I am her elder sister, just like you I added weight after giving birth but somehow people still don't believe that I am married and talk more of having two kids. But when I tell people my age they are usually shocked and are like you don't look your age, well that's the idea, I need to keep looking young and beautiful 😂
