I did pull the trigger 3 years ago. Of course I did take the smart route. First securing a new job before handing in the resignation.
I told myself that when I got a deal good enough, didn’t want to get paid more just the same would be good enough, I would sign with my eyes closed. But that was harder then I thought after being at the company for 24 years. Throwing away a complete history.
Now looking back I am very happy with my new company. Should have done it sooner maybe.
Just like you I was complaining a lot and at a certain point you have to make a decision. Stop complaining and move on or leave.
It is always a risk of course but follow your heart combined with some help of the mind. Securing the personal financial situation is utmost important. But if you start searching now for a new job you will have options. Then you really know if you want to leave or not. An options will feel as power!
