Some sunset photographs at lac d'Orient, France

A week ago I had a few days off from work and the kids had a school holiday, so we planned a short holiday of a couple of days. We didn't want to ride too far, but within a 5 hour drive from our home we have already seen a alot of nice places.
So we decided to broaden our search area and we ended up in the Champagne region in France. We found a mobile home on a campsite near lake d'Orient in France. We had a great time there.

One of the best things is that the campsite was just a 5 minute walk from the lake. And the sun set just behind the lake, so I could make a lot of photos from one of my favorite subjects; sunsets.

I actually live close to the sea in The Netherlands, but the 15 minutes by car still (and having a lot of things to do) prevent me from going there a lot to take photographs of sunsets.

But when I was sitting on the veranda of the mobile home I saw the sun sinking towards the lake. I just grabbed my camera and walked over there. And that a couple of days in a row.

Here are some of the best shots I made of the sunset last week:

It is always good to have time for one's family. Seeing that you capitalised on that short holiday is good to reckon with. The pictures are good and I'm sure you did enjoy your time with your children.

You have really found the right place to stay with your family.
France is a beautiful country, I was almost in Nice, I used that moment to visit Monte Carlo and Cannes. I also went with my family and we had a wonderful time.
Thank you for the wonderful post, I enjoyed watching the sunsets.

I've been in many places in France, but not the corner of Nice and Monte Carlo and Cannes. That seems beautiful too!

Wow, this looks amazing! It reminds me of some of the sunsets we have over the lakes here in Michigan!

Great sunset photos man, I like the one with the reflection the best, it looks stunning both in the camera and in the water.
