My Hive/HBD Goals: A change of plans!

Goals

It's always good to set yourself goals, so you have something you can work towards. That is why I joined the #saturdaysavers initiative by @eddie-earner and @shanibeer this year again.

I had set some goals I wanted to reach before the end of 2025;

  1. 35,000 Hive (a 23,29% growth)
  2. 4000 HBD (a 99,60% growth)
  3. 40,000 Virtual Hive (a 18,38% growth)

But things didn't all went the way I had hoped. The price of Hive has been going down since the beginning of 2025.
This made me use more and more of my HBD to buy more Hive.

As I don't think the price of Hive will go up anytime soon, I changed my focus from both Hive and HBD to only collecting more Hive before the end of the year.

I don't know if it is possible, but I want to try to have a total amount of 50,000 Hive before the end of 2025.

Collecting Hive

In the past months I had collected both Hive and HBD. With the price of Hive going lower and lower I used all this HBD to buy more Hive.
This is why I reached my previous Hive goal (35,000 HP) already back in March. In the months after that you can see a steady increase.
After September you see my last HBD to Hive conversion. And sadly after that the price of Hive even went a bit lower.

image.png

At this moment I have a total of 47,495 Hive. With two months to go I want to try and collect 2500 more Hive tokens to reach a total of 50,000 HP.
I think I can make it with a bit of determination.

I think it's good to have goals, but you shouldn't be stubborn and stick to your goals when the conditions change like it did this year.
That's why I decided to change my plans. I hope it works out the way I like.

Imagine that passing the 50K milestone. That would be a big achievement.
Curious how low hive will go. The decrease is hive is often correlated with the activity on the platform. Not that Hive does decrease when the activity is low, but the activity will be lower when Hive is down.

Congratulations you have been manual curated and upvoted by @ecency

well with the current hive value you get a lot for just one hbd , you also get more hive for your post making it a lot easier togrow you hive , if this keeps i=on going like this i could make it dolphin before the end of the year , and you should be able to get that 50 k limit you want .

Good luck with your hunt for becoming a dolphin.

Those are some pretty cool goals you have there. As far as HP goes, I'm satisfied. I'll be able to reach 20k, which is what I wanted for this year. If I'm not mistaken, I started the year with 12k HP, so I'll produce at least 8k HP, which is fantastic for me.

So my focus is entirely on increasing my HBD stake, but I still don't have a good way to increase it. I'm just taking 30% of each post I receive and putting it there. I'm keeping an eye on some tokens that I hope will go up in price, so I can exchange them for hive and then exchange them for HBD. It's a long journey!

You almost doubled your stake. Wll done.
I was focussing on HBD too, but I decided I will buy back some HBD when the price of Hive goes up again. Until that time I'm focussing on Hive.

With this price for Hive, it's really worth buying. It's like buying something valuable but at a discount, haha. So you increase your HP faster, or if you're thinking about selling it in the future, you'll make good money too.

That's a nice bag! I'm not an expert on hive but I feel there's created a lot so there's much inflation while there's not as much burning so the price can only go one way.

Well, I have collected most of it in an organical way and I'm not dependant on it as well, so I just keep my bag and grow it over the years. Better times may arrive, who knows.
