Eveningwalk in the park after a fresh rain shower

An evening walk after the rain is always special. The air is fresh, and it seems that there is more oxygen in the air. It is often also more quiet on the streets and in the parks since people suspect another rain shower or don't like the muddy paths.

Small drops of water sparkle on the first leaves that have fallen off the trees. Because we had a long and dry summer, the leaves start to fall off early this year.

I spotted this one way traffic sign that used to be blue, but due to the rain that has dripped from the trees it is slowly turning green.

In the park it was quite dark. The sun is setting earlier every day, the days are getting shorter and that is noticable. But I expect the leaves to fall again in a few weeks, so then the park will be a bit lighter again.

You can already see a layer of brown leaves on the floor of the park. But there will much more when you see how many are still on the trees now.

Somewhere in the park I spotted a tree stump that recently has been cut. They sometimes cut trees that are sick or getting in the way of other trees. When I walked closer I notices the tree was in the form of a heart.

The pond in the park is totally covered in duckweed. It almost looks like a lawn. I like this photo because there are so many shared of green in it. It makes the dead tree in the back stand out.

In the park I couldn't see the beautiful colors of the sky, but one side of the park is more open.
I liked the combination of the sky and the foggy meadow.

The rains herald winter in some places and cause the leaves to fall and form that beautiful layer among the trees. You went out for a walk even though most people didn't because they were afraid it would rain again, and you had a refreshing walk with beautiful images, such as the heart-shaped tree trunk. Before reading your post, I said to myself: how beautiful!

In those clearings of leaves that will soon be on the ground and there will be more light, you were able to capture that scene with the fog. It's like the strawberry on the dessert, a beautiful view that is dreamlike and mysterious at the same time. It was a great walk. Thank you very much and hugs!

An evening walk after the rain is always special.

Sat here out in the garden on a breezy evening, going into night. Words can't describe how much I miss this atmosphere. That fresh smell of rain, all the birds roaming around pecking at the ground. The cooler air that fills the lungs with each breath. Still far too hot in Armenia to have days like that, but as the days roll on I can see some slow transition towards it.

The last picture reminds me of some of the last days I spent in England. Going out in the early hours of the morning and seeing the fog still over the empty fields. Contained by the trees that stand at their edges.

There's another advantage to getting out after rain: puddles. They offer the opportunity to photograph reflections and discover something new, to see the world in a different way.

Have a nice day!
