The thing is, although there was no water in the image, when I saw the white horse frolicking in the sand, the image of the mythical horses of the sea god came to mind.
That gave rise to thinking about how an old professor of classical mythology would narrate a memory of a supernatural encounter that occurred during his youth.
It was an interesting imaginative exercise, and I found it satisfying.
