RE: My New... Hobby

I think it's clean slatism if that is a word. Many people are trying to wish their ingrained behavior away instead of just making tiny steps in their everyday life toward a "better future".
I have made those lists for years and written up goals I want to achieve, but they didn't come to fruition until I implemented systems and subsystems during the year and just held on to those even in difficult times.
In the last couple of years, I've made lists every month and taken stock of my life in different categories. I try to improve certain things on a continual basis and that is - at least for me - a successful way to improve.

I agree. If you don't have a great plan, but especially a well-organized system of tracking and accountability, you will soon give up on anything you set your mind to. At least that's how I am. But others function differently. They set a general direction in which they want/need to push, and whatever they accomplish they accomplish, without tracking their progress. And they still are able to make great progress.
Yeah, I guess those are the people with intrinsic motivation.
Perhaps it's genes, or a different upbringing and socialization.
For me, I try to work with accountability contracts. I just wrote about this, inspired by your post. I needed the push and after reading your post, I wanted to "tell my story" as well.
So, thank you for that :).
I'm glad I was able to inspire you for your post. That's quite a piece you wrote there! 😉
Yeah, I gave it my all :).
