The two faces of Technology
Being born into the technological age is one of the best things that can happen to anyone. Technology sure rules the world but we can't overlook the damages it causes too.
The prompt for the Indiaunited community is "Technology: Making Life Easier or Complicated?”

This is one debatable topic, one that has been debated from the days of our primary schools to now. Undoubtedly, technology has been an important factor in our daily lives but has also caused more harm to humanity, technically two worlds can exist simultaneously.
I love how technology continues to rule the world and I love how new tools continue to spring up every time but heartbreaking to see how technology also hurts and renders us miserable sometimes.
To answer this question I will be using the internet as a reference to drive home my point.
The internet has successfully been able to draw us closer, it has bridged the gap between family members, distant relatives, friends, acquaintances, colleagues, etc. It sounds great right? But guess what? It has successfully broken people too.

With the advent of social media, we can communicate with our loved ones from different parts of the world, social media has made it easier for family and friends to keep in touch. As much as social media has helped bridge the communication gap, it has caused more rifts among family members than we can think of. From going through our partners' phones to see things we aren't supposed to see, to seeing pictures from family events we weren’t invited, to blocking our loved ones on various social media platforms as we see them as spies.
This is just a short list of things that social media aka "Technology" has done to distort the balance of family and love.

Has technology complicated things? Yes, it has. Crime rate has increased sporadically, all thanks to advanced inventions that not just aid these crimes but make it difficult for the perpetrators to be caught. Sadly, this whole menace isn’t going to be solved anytime soon.
With the advent of technological processes, our food has become exposed to hazardous substances, making it unsafe for human consumption.
We appreciate technology coming into our lives to make life easier and better but we would love it if it could make life simpler instead of complicating it.
