Keeping The Flu At Arm's Length

Hey guys, welcome back to my blog.
Germs are real and are everywhere, what they're just looking for is for you to give them a small opportunity, and they would dominate.
What tips to put in place to ensure that you and your family are safe from whatever flu or infection that is out there today?
Keeping the home front safe from every form of harmful organisms that in turn cause flu and infections in the home is something that cannot be overemphasized. If the home isn't kept in good sanitary condition, it will be a dwelling place for these disease-causing microorganisms, one very bad thing about these organisms is that once they dominate a certain area, removing them is usually a hassle, hence the reason we are advised not to give them room.
Regular and Frequent Hand Washing
I learned this from a very tender age to always wash my hands after using the toilet, wash my hands immediately after entering the house after being outside, before and after eating, after sneezing, and many more. Washing your hands at these intervals will help keep germs at bay, even if it doesn't eliminate them all.
The hand washing I'm talking about isn't just with water but with soap and water, as this renders the microorganisms inactive.
Regular Cleaning of the House
Sweeping, dusting, mopping, and scrubbing are some of the ways of cleaning my living space and other parts of the house to keep germs away.
Washing and scrubbing the bathrooms and kitchen regularly is a must in my home, as these are some places that if not properly taken care of can breed germs due to the high moisture content that they are faced with most of the time.
Safe Food Handling
The way you handle food within the home, be it dry or fresh or perishable foods will determine if you're sending out IVs to microbes to infest your home. Fresh food should be stored separately from dry foods to avoid cross-contamination, so I store the fresh foods in a separate compartment in the freezer, which would be after I thoroughly clean it out before storing.
I also ensure that my meals are properly cooked at the right temperature, do you know that some microbes can withstand some level of heat, and if you don't cook the food properly at the right temperature, these organisms can survive in the food, and when consumed begins to cause complications in our system.
Regular Laundry
Regular laundry cannot be overemphasized, as dirty laundry can be sites for germs to breed. It is advisable to do your laundry weekly to avoid it piling up and bringing in germs.
What I usually do is, I try as much as possible to do my laundry over the weekend, where I wash all of the clothes used during the week. I also make sure I wash my towels, and bedding frequently to avoid spreading germs. Also, a sick person's laundry should not be done with the laundry of other members of the family.
Decluttering
I feel like this is also a way to reduce microbial infestation in our homes, as spaces that are filled with irrelevant or even relevant things that are not being used can also accumulate germs. So taking out stuff that is not being used in the home is also a means to help maintain a clean home environment.
These are some of the things I do at home to help keep my family in good health, and also keep microbes and infections, can you also add yours in the comment section?😃

I was telling my mom the other day that warming water can’t kill thermophiles because they love heat
Most people just warm food and think oh, that’s it but they know some bacteria thrive in heat.
Most people don't know this, they just feel subjecting the food to any amount of heat is good enough.
Yeah
The fact that some people love eating cold food and now I'm seeing some organisms can withstand heat lol.
So many sick people out there because our hygiene is very poor. You will hear stupid slogans like disease no dey kill Africa man.... Smh 🤦🏿♀️
