Regaining the love of parents

Love is a strong cord that binds persons, families, groups etc together. It is stronger when blood relations are involved. Parental love is very crucial in the lives of their children, imagine the love of parents who nursed the idea of having children, bearing them, nursing them and nurturing them to maturity. Parental love is second only to the kind of love the lord Jesus showed on the cross of Calvary to humanity.

Now it is very plainful to loose such parental love when love of parents is lost, it can bring about bitter experiences, it can even bring curse to ones life. Reuben, the son of Jacob lost his father's love on the altar of immortality and he lost his love and earned a curse. However, when parental love is lost, steps can be taken to regain it. The prodigal son lost his parents love via his wasteful life, and when he has wasted all his resources, he became sobre, humbled himself and repented of his past folies. He went back to his parents, showed remorse and ask for forgiveness. He was granted parental pardon and regained their love.

To this end, parents love can be regained through life amendment repentance, humility, apology and even restitution.
