This might come as a surprise to many... but believe me, I have actually had some thought on it for a couple of months now. No one knew I would be planning for this, and after committing to @hivefest, I said... that's it, I have to do it...

But first, let's step back a bit... and fund more of my motivation for doing these things. An example, not the only thing obviously, but just to warm up what I really want to message people about.

WeWard Space Boots League

Last week, I finished in first place over the previous Platinum trainers League on the WeWard app, which I have been using for a while now.

And the reason I am bringing this up is because I see huge potential in people who are on Hive...

To SHOW they are on Hive!

The experience I have been having by just being around this app and doing what I usually do, showed me... "This is fricking crazy possible!"

What?! I had almost zero work on experimenting with something like this, putting my avatar, creating a community for people to join/support and eventually, the attraction of everyone will create the momentum. Meanwhile, through the natural course of that process, people start asking themselves, "What in hell is Hive and this symbol..."

People actually get curious, why someone is showing something else and start looking at it almost like a trend... "they want to be a part of the trend too...", cause that's how most society thinks.

So, what drives you on a daily basis in web2 things? Go there, and first see if you can share the image of Hive without breaking whatever T&C's things. And if yes, just enjoy the best (in my view) onboarding free method of bringing people to try Hive. EXPOSURE!

Obviously, none of these initiatives would be possible if you don't know people around you. So, GO MEET SOME!

For example, I knew @new.things would be a massive supporter of something that is already his daily plate (running, walking, etc), and I knew he would totally beat me on steps (hence why I friendly teased him 😜... although I was also certain he would happily support the idea). One plus one makes two, and you suddenly have a group! This is not rocket science... It's just common sense!

But it's not just single people that make things possible... It's the "family" thing we all are in here... Looooooooooooooooooook!

Look around YOU!

Spend time knowing people, carving memories in your damn fricking mind, and you will see how much the power of listening is actually not overrated.

And I don't know everyone in this (only) 8-person group on the community I have created on this WeWard app. Which is amazing by itself, because the effort here has been minimal, but once everyone helps, the impact starts to compound.

So, thank you all for helping... it never goes unnoticed from my end at least. And this actually helps me stay fit, because it's something I run/walk for pleasure. And not just because I need (or it's good for me).

More NEWS after Hive Fest... hopefully I can find some support in Malaysia... and even if people don't do steps or use the app, just the gesture of supporting the group, makes a HUGE difference!

I, me, being me, being forky, being a person that loves decentralisation, technology and meeting people, never had such a hobby in life that I would have stuck with for so long. This means quite a lot to me...

And I try to support, help as much as I can around... trying to at least tease some "pattern" or motivation for others to follow. Being an example is hard to be honest (I kind of hate it and love it at the same time)... it has a lot of responsibility and the effort can never sleep. Because if I mess up or someone uses my motivation in the wrong way, people will see me as the bad model... right? It's not easy. Even in real life.

So, I am going to HiveFest... RIGHT? Yes... (just in case I got you there LOL)...

Yes, I am GOING TO HIVE FEST!!! Fricking need some vacations... damn it!

And I am almost 100k HP right?.... right...

Yep... if those few words made any sense, yep... that's what it means...

I will be reducing ALL my delegations to 1 HP by the end of this month, and some will even disappear... in order to be at the HiveFest with ~99% of my Hive power...

No, it's not definitive, it's just because I want to EXPERIENCE it!

For me, Hive is not just a monetary value... It's mostly a huge amount of pride in a community that allowed me to be able to do things in a place no other technology can... There, I have said it!

Now you see me FOMO, right? 🤣 That's right... I am FOMOing with my own thing... 😂 And I fricking love it... The joy, the acknowledgement, the feeling of achievement, that everyone should always seek. It's really amazing... I have no better words to describe it (I can only experience it and recommend others to try it).

What this means as a consequence...

Everything has a consequence... EVERYTHING!

Unfortunately, this means that I will not be doing my usual #giveaway on the October #HPUD... and once the end of September reaches, I will remove all the delegations from the previous HPUD Giveaway winners.

But I will be back! 😎

On the following month (November), obviously... Look at it like some sort of vacation period (it's actually a vacation for me LOL) and I will have to review delegations and depending on my experience (which might or might not change what I want to do with my HP), plan the new future for me on Hive.

How is this good for Hive?

It shows (hopefully) to all of you, how "The Hive Community" value is important to the blockchain history (literally block by block)... I am trying to make evidence that the pleasure of witnessing and working with something that I experimented with 8 years ago can do lots... even if some of us still think we can't do much with just a few souls...

I want to prove wrong to lots of people that, "the obstacle many people think to be the one that prevents them from success" is often themselves... YOU CAN IF YOU WANT!

I will remind people again...

This post is mostly a burst of acknowledgement from me. I will write again by the end of the month, so people who don't read all my posts can be sure what is happening to my HP.

No change... still my thing of trying to help stuff around. The pools are getting more liquidity over time. All is going normally there... Might take time. It's fine... I have time!

I already try it out the WeWard app, a friend of mine told me about it, to gain points and get some discounts on purchases or even convert to euro. If it is positive to the Hive community and to expose more Hive blockchain in to the "regular" day to day person, I can reenter the app, and make a account with the Hive logo and join the club with the HIVE.10 code.

Unfortunately things at work aren't getting together to take some days off to be in the HiveFest in KL... 😓

I can tell you for sure that you have !HOPE and can spread it now ;-) I’ve set up so that if you receive (and then own) 1 HOP, you can tip 1 HOP per day, just to “spread the hope”, because the world needs more of it…
And maybe, I should adjust it in these dire times, and allow for double hope-spreading… What do you say? ;-)

I haven't used actifit or other walking apps cause well, i don't walk that much lately. But do plan on getting something for my vacation soon!

For me, it's about the time to walk/run... I find it boring... not because it's not something that feels great, which I know it feels after it. But it's just BORING! Even if you listen to music or listen to podcasts... still "sometimes" boring.

Hence, being able to gamify or think about something else that motivates you, on what you are trying to achieve, helps a bit. Still, a work in progress...

I used to run with my dad back in Portugal, and it was super nice because we would be talking and it would not be boring, but since I became a father, it was all a downtrend...

Anyhow, great memories... and now I am sort of re-living some of the fun on a different platform and approach.

100k is going to be awesome... can't wait to start spending time understanding how much percentage to adjust on every interaction. 😆

hopefully price does something soon to add another layer ti your adjustment calculations :P

I used to run a lot after military training, was fun to see how much i could without getting tired. Could've probably ran a half marathon back then as I was in great shape, unfortunately after that I mostly focused on computer stuff - except early 20s when I needed to get back in shape for the ladies :p

Appreciate it, mate. You have been one of my first helpers and have always enjoyed learning and interacting with you.

The @atexoras.pub is still around. And one day, someone will revive it... I am sure of it. For me, it's like a "will never die" place. It holds too many memories on this chai,n and because it's on chain, it's never going to die.

Going to Hivefest again looks almost like a luxury, but my wife makes my life SO amazing. One day, when the kids or the finances are less of a roadblock, I will drag everyone around, because I know the experience will be mesmerising. They are more interested in visiting other places, but I am sure they will enjoy the community. Now that I know how it looks.

Let me know if you want me to tag you for reminders on the WeWard app... Europe is allowed, I am sure. So you should be able to join. Ping me if you recall...

!PIZZA and !BEER are the best food combination. I have been missing PIZZA on real life, but not Beer! 🤣

They have some challenges where sometimes you have to message or follow friends. For me, now might be too hard on the last league to compete for the first 3 places. But for people doing the other lower leagues, if you stay on first, you can get some extra coins.

Oh, be sure that if you keep around you will get on to this... better than that, you will learn in a compounded way, and that will bring your vision about decentralisation into a whole new place. Not because it needs HP for it to be seen, but because being at those levels shows you other perspectives people don't often look at.

I appreciate what you mean by grinding, but in my mindset, it's even more than that. And the more time passes, the more people will realise that.

Realistically, I should be asking WeWard for some compensation, because I am actually helping them expand by doing all this. Not that they reached out to me or me to them, or am I expecting to get any recognition from this from them...

Wow, that is really amazing. I can tell you put a lot of effort and heart into this, and I am inspired by how you want to help people notice Hive in such a creative way.

I like how you use the WeWard app to show us that even small groups can make a big difference when they work together.

It’s also really cool that you’re powering up so much for HiveFest, I think that shows a lot of dedication and pride in the community. You’re setting such a good example for others by showing that if you believe in something and keep going, it can grow into something big.

I hope HiveFest is an awesome experience for you. You totally deserve it!!!

There are a couple of people here. But not as much as in Australia...

Been here for almost 11 years. And at the beginning of things, when I found this place and was actually attending a few crypto events, I met a lot of people who were just exploring the crypto space like me, but the level of greed back then was completely nuts... There was almost no room for learning, unless there was money involved. Big money obviously...

And I eventually dropped those events as my mind was beginning to become tired of the same conversation, over and over again.

Never dropped Hive... hence this feels like something special obviously.

I've never been to a crypto event. They seem to be just like their traditional "academic" equiv conferences - big ticket prices to get in, shallow "networking" where everyone is trying to sell you something / refer you to something else, and a warm fuzzy feeling of nepotism.

We have the same experience merely publishing things to the chain, without the carbon emissions, hotel rooms, and foreign cities full of distractions and gift shops.

In the beginning, it was actually nice, but mostly because you would meet a lot of people (some interesting). And that was the thing that would hook me to going into those.

But I was also going to these localised "gatherings" where you would meet with the local city people on a more regular basis. It was fun at the beginning because you would be sharing mostly what everyone was learning at super mega fast paces... and that brought a lot of intel back in the days for people that didn't know where they were going through.

I have always seen it as a place I could share the stuff I knew, but most of the time, I would become distracted by other things I discovered.

It was actually fun at the beginning... but then life made me go another way.

Hivefest is a totally different format. Definitely more like a gathering, family-oriented, with lots of scope for learning new things that just take time via reading if you don't have the time. Also, it becomes super crazy due to the fact that you finally meet the people you have been chatting with for so many years on the chain. And that was not something that often happened with any of the other chains, because of how volatile people coming and going would be.

Yes, they have an internal currency called "coins" and after accumulating a certain amount (for me is minimum of 3000 coins = 30$NZD) you can withdraw to paypal or other places (depends on the country the amount of services where you can withdraw to, I believe). Once I do mine, I will show the process...

Most of my HP is based on growing everyday... so I am pretty happy about it. Funny you mention it, because Hive Power (HP) always recalled me Health Points too! 🤣
