From Islamabad to ππΌπ΄πΈπ΅π²: A Heart Between Two Worlds
After a few months away, I returned from Islamabad to my hometown ππΌπ΄πΈπ΅π² during the holidays. A strange feeling overwhelmed me β part excitement, part hesitation. Life in Islamabad had become my new normal: tall buildings, shining roads, modern schools, trendy cafes, branded shops, and a smartphone in every hand.
There, time moves quickly. Everyone seems to be running. Time, emotions, and even relationships are bound by deadlines and goals.
But the moment our car rolled onto the quiet, dusty roads of ππΌπ΄πΈπ΅π² it felt like time slowed down... or maybe, returned to its true pace.
This was the same ππΌπ΄πΈπ΅π² where I had played barefoot in the mud, chased kites in open fields, and found joy in things as small as a pebble or a paper boat. The same alleys, the same old homes, the same trees. It was all there β just as I had left it β but my eyes had changed.
Islamabad had shown me another world β one of endless ambition and digital life. Kids there hold iPhones and play games in air-conditioned rooms. But here in ππΌπ΄πΈπ΅π², children still draw circles in the dirt, laugh freely, and run without shoes β and still somehow seem happier.
Back home, my mother cooks bread on a clay stove β the aroma richer than any five-star dish. The elders here greet you with prayers, their wrinkles telling stories no book can hold. People here donβt just talk β they connect. They donβt just live β they belong.
Yes, maybe we are behind in development. Maybe our schools lack smart boards, and our roads remain unpaved. But our heartsare rich. Our values, intact. Our way of life β real.
In Islamabad, I learned how to compete. In ππΌπ΄πΈπ΅π²I re-learned how to feel.
And I realized:
The world may offer you comfort, but only your roots offer you peace.
The circles in ππΌπ΄πΈπ΅π² are not just made in the dirt β they are drawn in the soul. And those circles, once made, never fade.
