Hidden GSM Geo-locators on stuff you own is going to be the future... scooters have them, cars too, you can add them to motorcycles too, and soon everything will have some sort of tracking protection. Especially when satellite internet is going to be something normal.

It might be the employees of the gardening company. You can use a lithium battery if you want... All you need is a compressing spike (used to make holes on stuff) that feeds from the same lithium battery, and if activated using Bluetooth or something similar, it will catch fire pretty quickly.
Then all you need is to broadcast the signal (set the arm mode) and leave your phone or a the Bluetooth host/transmitting device, near the bike (in range). Should last for days with battery.
If someone steals it, after 10-15 meters, it will catch fire... 😎
You can also put a safety timer on it, like say, 10 min, and if it returns back to the same zone, the trigger does not go on.

It must have been the gardening people - talked to the neighbor who celebrated a party in the garden yesterday. He said they left a camera and some presents outside over night. Everything still there - but my bike is gone.
Someone enter the property targeting just the bike. No random theft of anything valuable
Maybe they went for a ride... and they will come back.
Take their camera, and when the are back ask for the bike... if they are the real ones, they will feel complicit. If they don't at least you have leverage.
If the are the true ones, make the camera appear somewhere, and then tell them.
