SELL IN MAY AND GO AWAY!!!
A mantra that’s been preached countless times by countless plebs. What does it mean to you? And how are you responding to it? Personally, I have not yet responded to it.However, I have seen it as an opportunity to start building my own thesis around the issue of where I go and how I navigate the time. https://img.inleo.io/DQmZgtucFjV9D9XKCwWC1aQG5Dpsxm3ZwoHd3NvDosCxiWV/IMG_4980.jpeg picture credit pixa bay
Crypto is an interesting place. When you start your journey the advice is for you to do your research and not spend more than you are willing to loose. Suffice to say that is not adequate information and not enough to help you stand and find your way into what crypto really means to you. Coming into the market following that advice, I thought crypto was all about throwing money at a particular project and waiting for the day it miraculously transforms me into a mogul of some kind .
The sell in May and go away mantra does work for those that have been in the market and are well positioned as it’s a time to take profit. For a new be and a person seeking life changing money this advice is contrary to the dream and robs you the opportunity to build effectively, furthermore position yourself in projects that are going to buy you time and a place in web 3.
Hive for me is the end all BO and I will not focus on other platforms for now. Clearly the activity on hive is driven by market conditions. When green candles are making there rounds, activity also increases. Oddly enough people stop building when the markets slow down too. This my friend is the best time for you to make your mark. A time for you to seal you place in the Hivehall of fame . When the markets are busy, creators have a lot of work to create and sort out their portfolio. However, when the market is slow people have time to effectively build and this is the best time to cultivate meaningful friendships that will leave the rest of the chain assuming others are favored. But Wikileaks you neglect a friends post if you came across one, Wouldn't you leave a curation trail if you knew your friend has been consistent with quality. Even when the quality dwindles perhaps others are too busy to even check but know there hard earned money is working for them through the proven track record that the friend you made when people had sold in may and gone away.
An observation of mine is that the people that are throwing around this advice are building there visibility and reliability on YouTube. You do the same on hive. May should be a time that hive thrives in content as opposed to people leaving and going to see other opportunities in other places. As the saying goes “the grass is greener where you water it” may MAY be the time that you water your place on hive.
Champions are made in the off season see you on the other side champ!!!!
