Aunque parezca anárquico en el mundo del graffiti existen reglas de respeto y jerarquía Así que eso de cubrir el trabajo de otro grafitero sin una razón o sin demostrar alguna superioridad artística y de estilo es una falta de respeto muy grave de que esto te puede conllevar a problemas mucho mayores que solamente pintura.

Reglas Básicas (No Escritas) del Graffiti.

1. No puedes pintar sobre una "pieza" a menos que hagas un trabajo mejor.

2. Debes respetar los spots (lugares) antiguos y bien conservados, se considera una falta de respeto pintar sobre ellos.

3. La calidad importa, porque un trabajo de TOY es una falta de respeto a la forma de arte.

4. Conocer tu historia, siempre se ha enfatizado la importancia de conocer la historia de la cultura para entender su presente y futuro.

5. Sér original, copiar el estilo de otro grafitero es mal visto, puedes inspirarte, pero debes desarrollar tu propia voz.

6. No ser un "toy", ese alguien que no respeta las reglas, hace trabajos descuidados o pinta sobre obras de otros sin justificación.

7. Pinta en los lugares correctos (o asume las consecuencias), aunque gran parte del graffiti es ilegal, debemos saber elegir los lugares.

Basic (Unwritten) Rules of Graffiti.

1. You cannot paint over a "piece" unless you do a better job.

2. You must respect old and well-preserved spots; it is considered disrespectful to paint over them.

3. Quality matters, because a TOY job is disrespectful to the art form.
