Our first big order [EN]//[ES]
Happy Thursday of memories, I hope today's have only been beautiful! These last few weeks my free time has been reduced considerably, come on, the only free time I have is the one I have while I bathe and sleep, because there have been days when I had to eat while dancing around the house, when I decided to be my own boss, I did not take into account many things, although, at this point, I doubt very much to return to work for someone else, meet pre-established schedules, definitely no longer suits me. Today I was remembering with my brother what was our first relatively big order, and today I come to tell you a little of what that experience was like.
For Christmas 2023, I came up with the great idea of offering Christmas dishes for sale, we had just started to include lunches in our venture, the truth was quite excited, and I did not know what I was getting into hahaha, eventually a few Christmas dishes were sold for lunches, but, I continued to advertise my WhatsApp statuses, so one day I was contacted by an old friend who has been living in Spain for several years, she told me that she was going to come as a surprise for Epiphany, so I wanted to organize a lunch with Christmas dishes for her family, and thus give them a surprise at lunch.
The lunch would be about 30 minutes away from our location, so we hesitated for a moment to accept the proposal, however, my mother suggested us to buy some coolers to maintain the temperature of the food, and with that said, we accepted, we passed the budget and they accepted it, we were super excited, because it was our first large-scale order, we already had the experience of preparing Christmas dinner for the grandparents of the asylum, but this was different, there were fewer dishes, however, the issue of transportation generated us some nerves. We were paid the total amount about 15 days in advance, which was enough to buy a couple of large caves where we could move most of the dishes, desserts and drinks had to go in other cavars that we already had at home.
The day of Epiphany arrived and at home we all ran from one side to the other, to organize how we would put everything together, after all, we are only 2, but that day even Mathias worked, we left 10 minutes late, because in the car we lacked space, so we had to reorganize everything very well, it was one of those moments in which I hated Murphy and his law, however, we arrived in good time, I, depelucada, but with a smile and the satisfaction of duty fulfilled. Last Christmas I did not want to repeat the feat, because my time was and still is, quite reduced, but it is an experience that, without a doubt, I would love to repeat, and surely we would do it much better.

¡Feliz jueves de recuerdos, espero que los de hoy solo hayan sido hermosos! Estas últimas semanas mi tiempo libre ha estado reducido considerablemente, venga, que el único tiempo libre que tengo es el que tengo mientras me baño y duermo, pues ha habido días en los que me ha tocado comer danzando por la casa, cuando decidí ser mi propia jefe, no tenía en cuenta muchas cosas, aunque, a estas alturas, dudo mucho regresar a trabajar para otra persona, cumplir horarios preestablecidos, definitivamente, ya no me va. Hoy recordaba con mi hermano lo que fue nuestro primer pedido relativamente grande, y hoy les vengo a contar un poco como fue esa experiencia.
Para la Navidad del 2023, se me ocurrió la grandiosa idea de ofrecer platos navideños para la venta, recién habíamos comenzado a incluir almuerzos en nuestro emprendimiento, la verdad estaba bastante emocionada, y no sabía en lo que me metía jajaja, eventualmente se vendían unos cuantos platos navideños para los almuerzos, pero, yo continuaba haciendo mi publicidad por los estados de WhatsApp, por lo que un día me contacto una vieja amiga que vive hace varios años en España, me comento que ella iba a venir de sorpresa para el día de Reyes, por lo que, quería organizar un almuerzo con plato navideño para su familia, y de esa manera darles la sorpresa en el almuerzo.
El almuerzo sería a unos 30 minutos de nuestra ubicación, por lo que dudamos por un momento en aceptar la propuesta, sin embargo, mi madre nos sugirió que compráramos unas cavas para mantener la temperatura de la comida, y con ese dicho, aceptamos, pasamos el presupuesto y lo aceptaron, nosotros estábamos superemocionados, pues era nuestro primer pedido a gran escala, ya teníamos la experiencia de preparar la cena navideña de los abuelos del asilo, pero esto era diferente, eran menos platos, sin embargo, el tema del traslado nos generaba algo de nervios. Nos cancelaron el total del monto con unos 15 días de anticipación, con lo que nos alcanzó para comprar un par de cavas grandes en donde pudimos trasladar la mayoría de los platos, los postres y las bebidas tuvieron que ir en otras cavar que ya teníamos en casa.
El día de Reyes llego y en casa todos corríamos de un lado al otro, para organizar como armaríamos todo, al final de cuentas, solo somos 2, pero ese día trabajó hasta Mathias, salimos 10 minutos tarde, pues en el carro nos faltaba espacio, así que debíamos reorganizar todo muy bien, era uno de esos momentos en los que odiaba más a Murphy y su ley, sin embargo, llegamos con buen tiempo, yo, despelucada, pero con la sonrisa y la satisfacción del deber cumplido. La navidad pasada no quise repetir la hazaña, pues mi tiempo estaba y sigue estando, bastante reducido, pero es una experiencia que, sin duda, me encantaría repetir, y seguramente la haríamos mucho mejor.
