An Unplanned Easter Week Trip [EN]//[ES]
How many memories do we have that were never captured in photographs? For a while I dedicated myself to just live moments, without worrying about photography, and I still try to do it, although there are times when I say to myself, I should have taken more pictures, but I'm left with those beautiful memories that remain, this image that I share with you, is the only one I keep from a trip I made to Puerto Ordaz, of those sudden trips that often leave us with more experiences than a very planned one, and today I tell you a little about this trip, with only one image to remember, which I must say, is not one of my favorites, the truth is I don't know what I was thinking when I made those expressions as a teenager, when I was about 28 years old if I remember correctly.
14 years ago, I was still going through a spite that lasted me about 3 years hahaha, that was the longest spite in history hahaha, so, every time I had some vacation period or was free from construction work, I was looking for a way to keep my mind distracted, so when Easter 2011 was approaching, I was looking for what to do, and I remember that the Friday of council of that Holy Week, a friend's sister wrote me, her boyfriend lived and worked in Puerto Ordaz, and that week he could not travel to visit her, so he asked her to travel with him to spend those days with his family, and that week he could not travel to visit her, her boyfriend lived and worked in Puerto Ordaz, and that week he could not travel to visit her, so he asked her to travel to spend those days with her family, and as she knew my situation she asked me if I could accompany her, to which I answered without hesitation yes, I did not know the city, so it was, in addition to an opportunity to distract me, an opportunity to know.
She was in charge of buying the one way tickets, in a sleeper bus, we would leave the next day at 8:00 pm and arrive at our destination at 8:00 am, the next day, I did not like the idea, because sleeping in a bus is not something I like, however, what is life without adventures? I told my parents about the adventure, they didn't think it was a very good idea, however, I was excited, even though I was a lamppost. We arrived at the terminal of Puerto Ordaz and met my friend's boyfriend, who took us by cab to his house, a really beautiful urbanization where we could rest from the trip, because the truth is that we had not slept at all.
We spent a total of 6 days in Puerto Ordaz, most of them locked up in that house, you can imagine my boredom, and the regret of having gone hahaha, it was a deceptive offer, because in addition, the money we were carrying was not enough to do everything we wanted, because in the city everything is far away, and you have to travel by cab usually, which made everything more expensive, on Holy Wednesday I remember that we got up early, We were super excited because we were going to visit the National Park La Llovizna, located in Ciudad Guayana, about 30 minutes by cab from where we were, that day I was amazed with the nature of the place, the vegetation, the paths, the animals, I felt in another world, only this image remains as a memory, but in my mind are all those images intact, unfortunately we could not go completely, because the boyfriend had to go to work hahaha.
The next day we were emboldened and took a cab to the Simon Bolivar Hydroelectric Power Plant, which has a museum open to the public, a really majestic place at that time, and with an incredible energy, unfortunately today I do not think it is the same, nor that it is open to the public, that day we took some pictures that, to date, I do not remember that they were made. Later that day, we went to visit the Orinoquia shopping mall, a nice and spacious place to spend a whole day walking around, we only had one day left in that city, a day that we would spend at home doing nothing.
Our minds did not allow us to think about how difficult our return home could have been, we could not find a bus to go back home, and although I was not working at that time, my friend had to work the following Monday, so she had to arrive home on Sunday at the latest, We had to make several transfers to get to Caracas, where we could take a bus to our destination, after that trip, I never traveled with her again hahaha, I felt cheated, although, not everything was bad, because I had the opportunity to see places I never thought I would know, and learn new things.
