A Turbulent Week [EN]//[ES]
Today we woke up to a torrential downpour! On top of that, we were in a bit of a rush to get to school, and I realized I had forgotten to wash Mathias' gym shirt, so we had to change his uniform, hoping he wouldn't get in trouble, even though I doubt they'll be doing sports because of the storm. When we got to school, there was some traffic caused by the rain, and in my rush to help Mathias get out of the car, my phone fell into a puddle. Definitely not a good start to the day. I hope it gets better as the sun comes out. Since the weekend, I don't know what planetary alignment is happening right now, but things have been hectic around here.
On Saturday we went shopping and stopped by a friend's house to say hello. On the way back, the car broke down and we had to call a mechanic who towed us to the repair shop. Thank God they were able to fix it and in a couple of hours we were home, ready to get back to work. On Sunday, my sister-in-law was home alone and a little bird flew in through the bathroom window. Many would say, “How cute, a little bird came to visit,” But that's not the case. She has a phobia of birds; she's simply terrified of them. Thinking that the bird had flown away, she set about cooking. Imagine her surprise when the bird sang in the kitchen, almost right next to her, and she cut herself badly with the knife she was using to chop vegetables.
Yesterday Mathias didn't have classes, so I was getting ready to sleep late (I take advantage of those days to sleep a little longer, I deserve it), but the day had other plans. My younger brother had had an accident at work in the early hours of the morning, and I had to rush to the clinic to pick him up. Thank God it was only a few cuts and scrapes; it could have been much worse. Because of this, we had to bring his puppy home with us, so Mathias had a little extra fun yesterday.
Hey, let's not forget that on Monday morning we lost power at 2:00 a.m., and I had to make breakfast in the dark because I forgot to charge the lamps, but I managed to get the job done and Mathias went to school. He couldn't miss it; he had a couple of tests that day. These have definitely been somewhat turbulent days. As they say, bad things sometimes come in groups. However, we've been able to solve the problems, overcome the scares, get the wounds stitched up and healing, get the cars running, and life goes on. We have a week full of birthdays coming up, so I prefer to vent and leave behind some of the not-so-good things that have happened and focus on celebrating the lives of those I love most, my son and my parents. I'll keep you posted on how things are going.

It’s impressive how you handled everything. Your mindset of letting go of the rough patches and focusing on the celebrations ahead is inspiring.
A long time ago, I read something that said, if the problem has a solution, why worry, and if the problem has no solution, why worry? And it's so true, we gain nothing by worrying too much, only making ourselves sick, and of that I have no doubt. Last year at this time, stress was ruining my life. Now I try to take a different approach to things. As long as we have our health, we can keep going, and things will work themselves out in time. I'm not saying we should leave things up to fate, but we need to reduce our stress a little. It's killing us.
Worry really is a silent thief, it takes our time, our energy and even our health, yet it never brings a solution. Let go of what you can’t control and protect your peace in the process.🤗
Encountering all this problems in just a span of one week, somebody will say "you're not just lucky".
But thank God you were able to keep everything in check at least
Wow, what a week! It must have been really tough, but I’m glad everything turned out fine in the end. You handled it all so well. You didn’t let the problems ruin your mood you stayed calm and grateful. That’s real strength!
I love the Spirir, you seem to have had a hectic week but you maintained your emotions and was positive 👍🏼
