Weekly HSBI Giveaway for the Splinterlands Community #9

HSBI Titelbild.png

Happy Monday everyone and welcome to the my weekly HSBI giveaway for the Splinterlands community!

Following the announcement of Conclave Arcana almost two weeks ago, the first cards have already been released by various Splinterlands influencers in the last few weeks. In my opinion, this is always a great thing and I have to say the cards look really promising. In addition, a new type of potion, Midnight Potions, has just been announced and the presale of Conlave Arcana starts tomorrow. I can't believe how fast it's all going and the price of SPS is still climbing.

Answers to the last Question:

Last week's question was "How many Conclave Arcana Packs will you try to buy during the pre-sale and why?". This time, eleven people took part and answered the question. Let's have a look at some of your answers.

@doombot75:

I'll be spending $400, Planning to buy standard packs so looking at 100 packs as I will have to buy with credits at the moment, I have picked up a little SPS before the spike but have staked that for extra ranked rewards.
Sticking to standard packs just to get the highest number of cards I can although after the pre sale I may look at picking legendary packs up and open them when the airdrops have all been done (unless there are some must have legendries in the initial cards)

I think 400$ is a strong statement, with 100 packs you can certainly do a lot. I think I would also focus on standard packs for the time being, for the same reason.

@silentriot:

I have not decided yet how much, if at all I'll be participating in the CA presale or general sale other than buying packs to use as rewards for our private guild tournaments. Overall very excited/super hyped/bullish for the short & long term of the SPL Ecosystem, this would overall just be a financial decision so I could hopefully prepare myself to go hard on the next set & to focus on other opportunities/goals within the game & on Hive! 😊

I share your view, I'm pretty bullish as well. Your guild's tournaments are a really cool thing, I have a lot of respect for what you're putting together! So if you're still looking for an international community, I can only recommend "🧿LUX ∆ETERNA☄️"!

@h4rr1s:

I'll probably buy like 30-40 packs in the pre-sale, depending how much DEC i can manage to get from my HBD and other reserves until then. Currently I'm not planning to spend any fiat on the pre-sale, but wait for the actual sale to maybe spend any new money on the game.

Last week I also scraped together my reserves, which are in the Hive ocosystem, for the presale. Among other things, I also converted some HBD into DEC. 30-40 packs definitely sounds good, especially because the promo cards are added.

@squirrelacus:

So I am skeptical if this sps price hike is just hype for the new set or the actual fly wheel kicking in. So that being said I am gonna wait on the presale. If I end up wanting the promo cards I can always try and pick them up early next year because the sale does run that long if memory serves me correct. And by then hopefully the new set hype will have died down and the single card prices will be at a more reasonable target area. I still want to see what else the splinterlands team delivers on. You release a new set okay what about the other things we have been told about. Plus financially right now I can not afford to put more money into this game.

Despite all the confidence that currently prevails in the Splinterlands community, I also like to read views like this. It's difficult to say how the price of the packs or cards will develop and I can understand why people are rather cautious. There was a time when people were rather disappointed with Splinterlands and the developers.

For my part, as with the Rebellion Presale, I will only buy 10 packs of Conclave Arcana so that I get at least one of the promo cards. After that, I'll buy the individual cards that I need and that I think are strong.

And the Winner is...

It's time to draw the winner of the last giveaway.

How to enter:

Every week there is a question or a task to fulfill. The question or task will always be related to Splinterlands. To participate, you must post a comment under this blog answering the question or completing the task. That's all.

This week's question is...

Which Chaos Legion card will you miss the most as soon as Chaos Legion rotates out of Modern?

I'll try to post the giveaway every Monday, so you have about a week to enter, at the latest until the next part of the giveaway is published and the winner is announced there. The winner will be drawn at random and will receive one HSBI share sponsored by me.

I think the card I will miss the most is Grim Fireblade.

I prefer the death splinter so I’ll have to go with Cursed Windeku, the all round tank sat in front biting back at all the melee attacks while healing itself back up, great with Thaddeus Brood

Definitely Doctor Blight! Love that card. But there are many very great ones. Agor Longtail is my staple for Dragon fights, with Lily Shieldpaw. Basically all the summoners, actually. I don't have any maxed summoners of Rebellion... :-(

I won't be missing any, considering I'm primarily a Wild/Survival mode player! Haha! But putting myself in the shoes of being a Modern player, I would probably have to say Lux Vega 💚 , Being the only Neutral Summoner in the game makes it such a unique Summoner..coughs Archon. 😋 If her price drops a bit more due to leaving Modern, I may be looking to pick up a couple more of Her for use in Survival mode. Also, I'm glad to hear you're enjoying being part of our Guild ^.^

There are so many! I'm going with Djinn Oshannus because it was my first legendary ever.

I think it would be a toss up between Lux Vega and Dr Blight would be the two hardest cards to see rotate out of modern format. I just really cant decided between the two. But if I had to learn towards one I guess Lux Vega since she can be used in more situations.

I think I'll probably miss Djinn Oshannus most. I used it almost every time i could for a long time.

Uriel the Purifier will be missed when rotated out of modern. It's hard not to like a self-healing tank that can fly, does lots of damage (every other round), and does 1 damage to all enemies when defeated.
