Weekly HSBI Giveaway for the Splinterlands Community #19
Happy Monday everyone and welcome to the my weekly HSBI giveaway for the Splinterlands community!
Last week, there was one big and long-awaited piece of news in particular. The Conflicts of Conclave Arcana were announced, where you can earn points again by stacking packs and cards and, with a bit of luck, get the popular airdrop cards, which are often Archons! First, however, it was announced that the Battle Wagons needed for the Conflicts cost land resources. So another good news for all land owners! It was also announced that the Conflicts will start on July 16th, the day after tomorrow. And then the first airdrop card was presented: “Zyrx the Emberglace”. A smaller piece of news that I don't want to forget is the new design of the battle lobby.
Your Answers to the last Question:
Last week's question was "What is your favorite ability in Splinterlands and why?". This time 11 people took part and answered the question. Let's have a look at some of your answers.
My current favorite ability has to be Final Rest.
My boy Craniax is the only card with the power currently but he is doing a massive amount of heavy lifting, ending the threat that is Hyppos and Poison Burst specifically. Being able to disrupt your opponents strategy (be it ruleset, commander strat, or individual cards abilities) is huge right now while playing in Mid-Gold and has lead me to win matches that I otherwise would have floundered in.
Ah, I didn't realize that Craniax is the only card with the Final Rest ability. But that also explains why I almost never see it in battles. I can definitely imagine that this ability is very strong, especially to counter Poison Burst, as you've already described. I think “passive” abilities like this are really cool, there should be more of them!
My favorite ability has to be mimic. It's a gamble not knowing what other abilities I'll gain but it leads to some really interesting battles. It's different every time.
The Mimic ability was mentioned by several people and I can fully understand that. This ability is a real meme for me. As you say, you never really know what's going to happen, but that's what I find so funny. Either you end up with an overpowered monster with all kinds of abilities or you don't. That's what makes the ability so unpredictable and also so strong.
Magic Reflect, since I've joined at the game launch with the Alpha set. I like it, as it is basically an amazing counter for armoured up games.
The Magic Reflect ability, on the other hand, was only mentioned by you. It is a somewhat inconspicuous, perhaps even underestimated, ability. But as you've already written, this ability can counter the opposing team very strongly. I think it's cool that it's your favorite ability and has been since the beginning.
Ohhh this is tough one as there are so many that are really cool or fun. I'm gonna say execute because the elven bloodline with it has won me a lot of matches.
Oh yeah, I have to say Execute is one of my favorite abilities introduced with Conclave Arcana. Also in terms of lore, I always imagine a card with this ability to be very skillful when it comes to finding the enemy's weak spots and taking out the monsters. It also fits very well that the Elven Archon can pass on this ability.
My Answer to the last Question:
My favorite ability, or rather my two favorite abilities, have been around for a very long time. They have been my favorites since I started in Splinterlands at the beginning of 2022, and they are Sneak and Opportunity. I just love being able to attack my opponent's rear positions and bypass the tank at the front. It's also no coincidence that Deeplurker and Tenyii Striker, two of my favorite cards from the Chaos Legion expansion, have these abilities. I used them a lot in the Modern Meta back then.
And the Winner is...

Nice! Battle Wagons are key for Conclave Arcana, good luck everyone with the HSBI giveaway! 🐎
I think we need to understand what the team are going to do with the battle lobby in future, but i dont really have a problem with the battle history being moved to a different screen, some games don't even have a history! if its just earnings people want to see then a simple won/lost/drawn, glint, SPS table would be enough in the lobby screen.
The only real problem i have is again the team have rushed out a change when if the full vision had been presented it may have been a totally different result - but also some people just dont like change :)
Question: What do you think of the new Battle Lobby design?
Answer: IMMEDIATELY when I saw the announcement in Discord from Splinterlands about it, I checked it out and I took a screenshot and posted it in my Discord asking if there was a way to change it back.
That should tell you what I think about it! 😁 I do like somethings about it if I am being honest but overall I hate it.
My Dream scenario would be like the new PeakD editor. Where you can go into edit mode, click and drag boxes around to see what you want to see where you want to see them. I know it will NEVER happen but people with monitors larger than say 27 inches have so much wasted screen real-estate that could be better utilized. But oh well, first world problems am I right? lol
I don't like it. I loved being able to see my last battles and having the battle-button right above it. Now, in order to check a former battle, compare and draw conclusions I have to click around. It was more comfortable the other way, and I honestly have no idea why they changed it, as I thought it to be running very smoothly. But I can get used to it, if they insist on keeping it that way.
Heck yeah!
:does a happy dance:
What do you think of the new Battle Lobby design?
Im not really a fan. It's not symmetrical or centered so it bugs me.

Congratz Kylin!
To be honest... I dont like the new design 😅 I liked the old way much better where I could hover over a battle to see details and not have to be press season activity...

Hey buddy. Greetings! Because of your participation in the CryptoCompany community you received a vote from @CryptoCompany and its trail! Thank you for your participation in the "Banner for Boost" campaign.
Hive a great day!
The new battle lobby is unfinished and rushed, as mentioned by the people working on it and that was a mistake.
It is very different from the previous one and it feels very weird to me
I feel like the new lobby design is mostly catering to tech-modernization/mobile which is important. We PC users just gotta get used to a few extra clicks for the time being unless redesigned.
Not too keen on the new battle lobby, Nate did explain on discord how it leaves room for future updates but was released too soon. I'm hopeful it will be improved upon like the rest of the game has been
Desing of new battle is little confuzing, i mean is not bad, but i dont play long time so its little hard to follow all.
Old style is simple and easy, on this is little hard to pick cards what you want, specialy if you have a lot cards.
!BBH
Well, I liked more the previous view, as it contained more data directly from the start. Now I see only the glint balance, where I would rather see on the first click the battle record.
