Splinterlands - Upgrading Common Cards from the Rebellion Reward Set [ENG/DE]
It was that time again: Another season in @splinterlands was over and I received some Glint. Since I don't have a lot of cards from the new Rebellion Reward cards yet, I decided to buy some common draws. Some of the common cards from this expansion are actually very playable and there are even a few that are almost impossible to do without. We'll get to those later, but for now let's take a look at what I got.
I bought a total of 150 common draws and used Alchemy Potions to increase my chances of getting gold cards. You can't see all the draws in the picture, because unfortunately I haven't yet found a source where I can get a clear overview of the results. If you know of a source, please post it in the comments. I got a total of five gold cards, which I think is okay.
Of course, this allowed me to upgrade some common cards, which I'll show you in a moment. First of all, I'd like to point out that I can currently only play common cards at level 5, as I only have rare Summoners at level 4 and legendary Summoners at level 2. That's why the commons are only upgraded to level 5 at most.
Drybone Hobgoblin
A card from Fire Splinter that is characterized by Reach. It reminds me a bit of Radiated Brute from the Chaos Legion expansion and will definitely be played more often as soon as Chaos Legion rotates out of the Modern format. Drybone Hobgoblin also has Immunity, which means it is often played in the Noxious Fumes ruleset. Overall a solid card, but nothing special.
Tokatag Conscript
Tokatag Conscript has a somewhat wild combination, and by that I mean Ranged Attack with the abilities Sneak and Thorns. To be honest, I don't really know in which rulesets this card should really perform. The upgrade also just added Life Points to the card and didn't change the way the card plays.
Broken Earth Thug
With Broken Earth Thug, I was able to upgrade what I think is a really good card. I generally find cards with the ability Opportunity very strong and Broken Earth Thug only costs three mana. The upgrade not only gave the card another Melee Attack and an Armor Point, which protects Broken Earth Thug well against other Melee Attackers, but also Cripple. A strong card and a strong upgrade.
Blackmoor Wild Elf
With Blackmoor Wild Elf, another Magic Attacker from Earth Splinter has found its way into the game and with the ability Camouflage, the card resembles Djinn Biljka from the Chaos Legion expansion. The card also has Amplify, which makes it a strong pick in some rulesets and a solid card in general. The upgrade only gave Blackmoor Wild Elf a few stats.
Mar Toren Trader
Finally, I was able to upgrade Mar Toren Trader, a ranged attacker from the Water Splinter. At the first level, the card is still not very convincing, but the upgrade gave it the Headwinds ability in addition to some stats. This makes Mar Toren Trader a strong choice in rulesets with many ranged attackers and the stats themselves are also impressive for three mana.
As you can see, there were already some really useful cards here. At the latest when the Chaos Legion set rotates out of Modern, these cards will probably be played even more often. I will probably publish a second part in the next few days, provided I can upgrade the remaining common cards.
What do you think of these cards and the upgrades? Let me know in the comments. All that remains for me to say is thank you for reading this far and have a good time!
Dadurch konnte ich netürlich einige Common Karten upgraden, was euch gleich zeigen möchte.

Good post and HIVE stats, so you got my vote :)
Thank you very much! :)
@themarkymark @freebornsociety
May I know why you downvoted my blog? On the one hand, I don't know what I did “wrong” and on the other hand, I think it's quite questionable to downvote a blog without leaving any kind of feedback.
You asked two people
Freebornsociety is an account which monitors all downvotes of some selective downvoters. Its value of downvote is near 0. Please ignore this downvote as it doesn't cause you any damage and it is used for monitoring purposes.
It is similar to what untrending project do.
Related to themarkymark downvote, he didn't personally downvoted you or your content. Themarkymark COUNTER VOTES bdvoter upvotes. So it's not related to you and more related to counter votes or flag wars.
This is just my understanding. Please do your own research.
I have also done some research in the meantime and have partially understood the reason for the downvote.
However, I find what is happening here very worrying. With the downvote, @themarkymark is mainly harming and frustrating the creator of the blog. And that should not be the way to go if he has a problem with @bdvoter. I, or many other blog creators, have nothing to do with @bdvoter.
I also don't believe that @themarkymark wants anything bad for the authors of the blogs and perhaps the reason for his actions is justified. But he should also be aware of the consequences of his actions, especially as a Hive Witness and a whale. He frustrates smaller accounts, like me, much more than @bdvoter. Especially when he doesn't even communicate his downvotes.
In my opinion another way should be found, this one is anything but effective. Small accounts and new people on Hive are very quickly put off by something like this.
Don't worry about it, it won't stop until bd.voter stops, so just ignore it.
Nice post.
It's pretty disappointing... I'm aware that my comments or posts on this won't help, but I still want to draw attention to the situation.
Thanks anyway.
Congrats on your purchases and increasing your cards stats.
