Hello Splinterlandians! In recent days, my activity on Hive and Splinterlands has increased again, which is probably due to the release of the Conclave Arcana Reward Set. Nevertheless, I still need many cards from the Conclave Arcana Core Set, so it's no surprise that I've been busy on the marketplace again. What I can say in advance is that I've made some bargains by buying Gold Foil cards instead of the regular versions. Sounds strange, but it's possible.

In today's blog, I would like to report on my purchases and briefly introduce the four cards to you. I will discuss the cards themselves, the reason for purchasing them, and the price at which I was able to acquire them. Please keep in mind that I upgrade the cards to the Silver League level cap at most, as my Archons cannot play at a higher level. Enjoy reading! 😊

Caravan Guard

The first card I bought is a common card called Caravan Guard. It belongs to the Life Splinter, is a ranged attacker, and costs three mana. At the first level, this card has no abilities and its stats are not good. Therefore, it seems rather uninteresting at first, but the upgrades turn Caravan Guard into a strong supporter.

The upgrades add the abilities Triage (level 3), Headwinds (level 5), and Echo (level 10), all of which are very useful. In addition, the card gains a lot of health points through the early upgrades, and later on, speed and a ranged attack are added.

For my personal situation, it's most worthwhile to upgrade the card to the fifth level, because the Headwinds ability is great for weakening enemy ranged attackers. But even more important is the Triage ability, which I find very powerful and can be incorporated into many strategies.

I've already bought the first Gold Foil variant here, as it was cheaper for me than buying 60 normal copies. In total, I paid only $2.46 for the five Gold Foils.

Ferrous Brewer

The next card I'm going to introduce is an epic card and belongs to the neutral Splinter. It is Ferrous Brewer. It is a melee attacker that can be played for four mana. From the first level onwards, the card only has the Charge ability, which allows it to attack from any position. The stats are nothing special, but here too, an ability that the card gains through upgrades makes all the difference.

By leveling up, the card gains the abilities Relentless Strike (level 3), True Strike (level 5), and Immunity (level 6). I find the first ability particularly interesting, as it further increases the damage potential of Ferrous Brewer. Incidentally, the low speed always remains the same.

I decided to buy enough copies of the card to upgrade it to the third level. As already described, this adds the Relentless Strike ability and another melee attack, which often makes the card a good option. Especially since it is a neutral Splinter card.

The epic cards are naturally a bit more expensive, but I paid $6.17 for ten copies, which I am okay with.

Tidal Tsunamist

The third card I bought and would like to introduce to you is Tidal Tsunamist. This is a melee attacker from the Water Splinter that costs five mana. In my opinion, the card's stats are really good. The card also has the Sneak ability, which I really enjoyed playing during the Chaos Legion era.

When Tidal Tsunamist is leveled up, the card gains the following two abilities: Repair (Level 5) and Fury (Level 8). I find the Repair ability particularly interesting, as there are some good cards with armor in the Water Splinter. The stats are also improved by the upgrades, making it a consistently solid card.

Since I'm a big fan of Water Splinter and Tidal Tsunamist looks really powerful, I decided to buy it. Because I wanted to make use of the Repair ability, I bought enough copies to upgrade it to the fifth level.

Here, too, the Gold Foils were relatively cheap, which is why I treated myself to the whole set as Gold Foils. I paid a total of only $2.81 for these five Gold Foils.

Silverleaf Mage

The last card I bought is Silverleaf Mage. It's a rare card from the Earth Splinter, costs eleven mana, and is a ranged attacker that can be played as a tank in the back row thanks to its high health points and Taunt ability. It's also an Elf, which I really enjoy playing in the current meta thanks to the powerful Archon Kaylia Silverleaf.

When the card is leveled up, it gains several abilities. The most interesting of these is Poison Burst (Level 4), which was introduced with Conclave Arcana and is very powerful. It also gains Corrosive Ward (Level 2) and Divine Shield (Level 6). Of course, its stats are also improved, especially its health points.

As already mentioned, the card is greatly improved at the fourth level by the Poison Burst ability. I would love to play it at this level, but Silverleaf Mage is a very popular and expensive card, which is why I'm only playing it at the second level for now.

Although it is only a rare card, I paid a whopping $4.48 for five copies, which I consider to be really expensive.

Last Words

As always, I warmly welcome the four new cards to my team! As you can see, it can be well worth comparing the prices of the regular versions with the Gold Foils. I don't quite understand the reason for this, but you can pick up a bargain or two here. And with the Gold Foil versions, you really only have advantages, such as higher Glint and SPS income when you use the cards in battle.

Hallo Splinterlandians! In den letzten Tagen hat sich meine Aktivität auf Hive bzw. Splinterlands wieder etwas erhöht, was vermutlich am Release des Conclave Arcana Reward Sets liegt. Trotzdem benötige ich weiterhin noch viele Karten aus dem Conclave Arcana Core Set, weshalb es nicht überraschend ist, dass ich hierfür mal wieder auf dem Marktplatz unterwegs war. Was ich schon mal vorwegnehmen kann ist, dass ich einige Schnäppchen gemacht habe, indem ich Gold Foil Karten anstatt der regulären Varianten gekauft habe. Klingt komisch, ist aber möglich.

Im Rahmen des heutigen Blogs möchte ich daher mal wieder über meine Käufe berichten und euch die vier Karten kurz vorstellen. Dabei werde ich auf die Karten an sich eingehen, den Kaufgrund und den Preis, zu dem ich die Karten erwerben konnte. Vergesst bitte nicht, dass ich die Karten maximal auf das Silver League Level Cap upgrade, da meine Archons kein höheres Level spielen können. Viel Spaß beim Lesen! 😊

Caravan Guard

Bei der ersten Karte, die ich gekauft habe, handelt es sich um eine gewöhnliche Karte und zwar Caravan Guard. Sie gehört zum Life Splinter, ist ein Ranged Attacker und kostet drei Mana. Auf dem ersten Level hat diese Karte noch keinerlei Abilities und auch die Stats sind nicht gut. Daher wirkt sie zunächst eher uninteressant, jedoch wird Caravan Guard durch die Upgrades zu einem starken Supporter.

Denn durch die Upgrades kommen die Abilities Triage (Level 3), Headwinds (Level 5) und Echo (Level 10) dazu, welche allesamt sehr brauchbar sind. Außerdem erhält die Karte durch die frühen Upgrades einiges an Lebenspunkten und später kommen auch noch Geschwindigkeit und ein Ranged Attack dazu.

Für meine persönliche Situation lohnt es sich am meisten die Karte auf das fünfte Level zu verbessern, denn durch die Ability Headwinds kann man gut gegnerische Ranged Attacker schwächen. Viel wichtiger ist aber die Ability Triage, die ich sehr stark finde und man in viele Strategien einbauen kann.

Hier habe ich auch schon die erste Gold Foil Variante gekauft, da das für mich billiger war als wenn ich 60 normale Exemplare gekauft habe. Insgesamt habe ich für die fünf Gold Foils nur 2,46$ bezahlt.

Ferrous Brewer

Die nächste Karte, die ich vorstelle, ist eine epische Karte und gehört zum neutralen Splinter. Es handelt sich hierbei um Ferrous Brewer. Es ist ein Melee Attacker, der für vier Mana spielbar ist. Vom ersten Level an besitzt die Karte lediglich die Ability Charge, wodurch sie von jeder Position aus angreifen kann. Die Stats sind nicht besonders, aber auch hier macht eine Ability, die die Karte durch die Upgrades erhält, den Unterschied.

Denn durch das Aufleveln erhält die Karte die Abilities Relentless Strike (Level 3), True Strike (Level 5) und Immunity (Level 6). Vor allem die erste Ability finde ich interessant, da das Schadenspotential von Ferrous Brewer nochmal erhöht wird. Übrigens, die niedrige Geschwindigkeit bleibt immer gleich.

Ich habe mich dazu entschieden direkt so viele Exemplare der Karte zu kaufen, dass ich sie auf das dritte Level verbessern kann. Wie bereits beschrieben, kommt hier die Ability Relentless Strike und auch ein weiterer Melee Attack dazu, wodurch die Karte oft eine gute Option ist. Vor allem weil es sich um eine Karte des neutralen Splinters handelt.

Die epischen Karten sind logischerweise etwas teurer, jedoch habe ich für zehn Exemplare 6,17$ gezahlt, womit ich zufrieden bin.

Tidal Tsunamist

Die dritte Karte, die ich gekauft habe und euch vorstellen möchte, ist Tidal Tsunamist. Es handelt sich hierbei um einen Melee Attacker aus dem Water Splinter, welcher fünf Mana kostet. Die Stats der Karte sind meiner Meinung nach wirklich gut. Des Weiteren besitzt die Karte die Ability Sneak, welche ich vor allem während der Chaos Legion Ära sehr gerne gespielt habe.

Wird Tidal Tsunamist gelevelt erhält die Karte die folgenden beiden Abilities: Repair (Level 5) und Fury (Level 8). Vor allem die Ability Repair finde ich interessant, da es im Water Splinter einige guten Karten mit Rüstung gibt. Auch die Stats werden durch die Upgrades verbessert wodurch sie stetig eine solide Karte bleibt.

Da ich ein großer Fan des Water Splinters bin und Tidal Tsunamist wirklich spielstark aussieht, habe ich mich für einen Kauf entschieden. Weil ich von der Ability Repair Gebrauch machen wollte, habe ich direkt so viele Exemplare gekauft, dass ich sie auf das fünfte Level verbessern kann.

Auch hier waren die Gold Foils wieder verhältnismäßig billig, weshalb ich mir auch hier das ganze als Gold Foil gegönnt habe. Für diese fünf Gold Foils habe ich insgesamt lediglich 2,81$ gezahlt.

Silverleaf Mage

Die letzte Karte, die ich gekauft habe, ist Silverleaf Mage. Es ist eine seltene Karte aus dem Earth Splinter, kostet elf Mana und ist ein Ranged Attacker, der durch die hohen Lebenspunkte und die Ability Taunt als Tank in der hinteren Position gespielt werden kann. Außerdem handelt es sich hierbei um einen Elf, welche ich in der aktuellen Meta dank dem starken Archon Kaylia Silverleaf sehr gerne spiele.

Wenn die Karte gelevelt wird kommen einige Abilities dazu. Die interessanteste hierbei ist Poison Burst (Level 4), welche mit Conclave Arcana eingeführt wurde und sehr stark ist. Außerdem kommen noch Corrosive Ward (Level 2) und Divine Shield (Level 6) dazu. Auch die Stats werden natürlich verbessert, insbesondere die Lebenspunkte.

Wie bereits erwähnt wird die Karte auf dem vierten Level durch die Ability Poison Burst nochmal enorm verbessert. Gerne würde ich sie dementsprechend auf diesem Level spielen, allerdings ist Silverleaf Mage eine sehr beliebte und teure Karte, weshalb ich sie erstmal nur auf dem zweiten Level spiele.

Obwohl es sich lediglich um eine seltene Karte handelt habe ich für fünf Exemplare stolze 4,48$ gezahlt, was ich für wirklich teuer halte.

Letzte Worte

Wie immer heiße ich die vier neuen Karten herzlich Willkommen in meinem Team! Wie ihr sehen könnt kann es sich durchaus lohnen, die Preise der gewöhnlichen Varianten mit den Gold Foils zu vergleichen. Ich versteh nicht ganz den Grund, allerdings kann man hier das ein oder andere Schnäppchen ergattern. Und mit den Gold Foil Varianten hat man eigentlich nur Vorteile, wie zum Beispiel ein höheres Glint und SPS Einkommen, wenn man die Karten im Battle nutzt.
