Science and Us

The good aspects of science can not be underrated in any form, but at times I feel science is going too far, acting like God in so many ways. You know God is a jealous god who should be given all the glory🤔 I don't know if I'm the only one on this table😁 As science continues to evolve, it is a double-edged sword that many people use positively and negatively. It is good that science profoundly impacts our understanding of reproduction, relationships, and life in general.

The Leaps
Innovations in reproductive technology, such as IVF, provide opportunities to people who are trusting God for the fruit of the womb, which seemed impossible then, except God's intervention, but now, with the help of science, IVF has come to help. However, these advancements also prompt critical reflections on the implications they hold for the less privileged due to financial constraints.

As this happens to be a good innovation, people are still misusing the purpose. One of my friends said and I quote she does not mind opting out for IVF just to have a child because she needs no husband in her life🤔 Some ladies also don't want to ruin their shape in the name of motherhood so they prefer surrogacy🤔 These traits are not the leap but a set back of science. The discovery of science to put smiles on people's faces is being taken for granted.

The setbacks
Another aspect that raises my concern is the idea of creating life in a laboratory setting. The ability to select and create babies based on specific genetic traits can lead to ethical dilemmas for science. This made me question if science is not going too far by doing the work of God, the creator? What does it mean to be "desirable" It also poses a risk to human life, but people don't care as long as there's money to do whatever they want, as reproductive choices become tied to financial means. Money matters🤔

In a society obsessed with perfection, this could exacerbate existing social divides, creating a future where only the privileged have access to "designer" babies. So, what happens to those who are financially handicapped? This trend not only devalues the natural diversity of human life but also shifts the focus from acceptance to judgment.

Another aspect of science that I disagree with is the rise of science producing alternative manhood, such as dildos and vibrators, to traditional marriage and family structures, highlighting a cultural shift that may be beneficial yet also raises questions about the essence of human connection. Some classical women don't want to marry again since there is an alternative to rely on.

While it is empowering for individuals to seek personal pleasure and satisfaction independently of traditional relationships, it can also lead to a detachment from meaningful partnerships. The reliance on technology for intimacy may erode the importance of emotional bonds, companionship, and shared experiences that have historically defined human relationships. The Gen Z humans are on this journey for their personal interest.

While they offer unprecedented choices and freedoms, it is essential to approach these scientific leaps with a balanced approach, recognizing both their potential benefits and the possible repercussions they may have on humanity as a whole. We should not go overboard👌
