My Life as an Indoor Person. LOH#229

As far back as I can remember, I've been an indoor person. Growing up, my parents instilled in me the value of staying indoors, where I could engage in productive activities rather than venturing out unnecessarily. This mindset has stuck with me throughout my life, even into adulthood and marriage.

I remember a day in university when my elder sister called me. She asked where I was the previous night, as someone had told her I went to a night party. She argued with that person, insisting it couldn’t be me because I wouldn’t be caught outside at such an odd hour. To her surprise when she called to confirm, I hadn't even stepped outside my gate that day.

Another time, my hostel mates were talking about me, completely unaware that I had stayed indoors the entire day. It was a school day, and I was locked away in my room, studying without a single bite to eat, preparing for exams. They wanted me to come out and socialize, and when I finally did step outside, their shocked expressions said it all. They couldn’t believe I had been home all day without stepping out. I can do this on and on unless I have something important outdoors.

My parents taught me that I had no business being in someone else's apartment without a valid reason. I've lived by those words and have even passed them down to my children. They can't be found playing outside even when we, the parents, are not home from work or from anywhere.

So, what do I do indoors? I keep myself busy with various activities. I enjoy doing household chores like cleaning, reorganizing, and folding clothes. Reading is another one of my favorite pastimes, and I also love playing indoor games like Ludo, Scrabble, and Chess and surfing the Internet, I can be on my phone from morning till night, let there be Data and a power bank👌

Occupying myself with chess makes me think critically, gives me focus, boosts my memory, and improves my attention to my total well-being.

Another thing that I do is to play ludo games

Ludo games reduce stress and anxiety; they require players to be patient and wait for opportunities. They also build teamwork, and it is a great way to spend quality time with family and friends. My baby of the house is an expert in playing Ludo games.

Being an indoor person has become an integral part of who I am, and I'm grateful for the values my parents instilled in me. However, I have tasted outdoors too, and I can boldly say if I have time to be outdoors, I am ready because it's a thing I enjoy too. The outdoor experience I had last year made me want more of the outdoor activities; it was so fun.

It was fun coming out of my indoors to enjoy life with friends last year at the beach. The fun memory is still fresh in my brain.

The images are mine.

You certainly enjoy spending time at home, as you put it, it's been your habit since you were a child, it's good that the experience at the beach encouraged you to do more outdoor activities, it looks like it was fun,

Exactly, since I was a child, indoors has been an integral part of my existence.
For the outdoors, I will try to explore that very well.
