More than money is all I needed in a husband

It is good to set standards in everything, and marriage is inclusive. I was careful when I wanted to embark on this journey, even though God was and still is at the center of the journey. Since we know marriage is an institution, we receive the certificate before we graduate, and it's not a journey; we see what will become the end in the beginning, except we open it layer by layer every day, so I was extra careful to choose right and glory to God for that.

When I was quite young, I possessed a strong sense of focus and determination. I am someone who continually prays and longs for the best in my personal, professional, and marital life. My experiences with married individuals have taught me invaluable lessons; some were pleasant, while others were not. These experiences guided me in making wise choices, as I learned from the difficulties faced by couples like Sis Remi and Brother Dapo, whose marital journey was troubled and ended sadly.

Here is the only man who meets my marriage criteria😁

I had many wealthy suitors who offered to take me around the world, but I turned them down. One was in control of my life, a lady who hadn't said yes to him. What a red flag! I foresaw that if wealth became the centerpiece of the marriage, it could lead to, had I known, destruction and a suicide attempt, and I wasn’t willing to take that risk.

Another one was when I met a guy eating like a glutton. We sat down to talk when this guy started eating, and the whole of his mouth was spit, and the sound coming from that mouth was horrible 🤥 You know what? The consideration ended that same day👌 Another one was a guy who possessed three of my desires but one thing spoilt the whole show and that was his sets of teeth, half was green not a mild green but a thick one, the moment I saw this, it ended that same hour🤔 Don't let me talk about my proposed man who went behind my back to get a mobile phone for my friend, such a man can never be faithful Don't judge me because prevention is better than cure

Would I prefer a money-driven husband or a romantic one?

I began my search for a husband who could also be my friend, and I finally found him. What I dreamt of as a partner was a light-skinned man, tall, faithful, hardworking, truthful, caring, respectful, obedient, romantic, and above all, handsome. I hate when a man is so dirty and not neat at all. I desired someone who could be a father, husband, friend, and my all in all. Thankfully, that is exactly what God blessed me with in 2011.

My support system in everything💕

Our relationship began as a friendship in 2011 when our paths crossed after I had turned down numerous suitors who failed to meet my standards. I carefully observed each of my desires in this man until I was convinced that he was my better half, till we finally walked down the aisle in 2014. Knowing this man has been a blessing to my entire being, it is only when you marry your best friend that he can help with house chores, because he didn't marry a slave🤥

To God be the glory, we will soon celebrate our eleventh anniversary on May 24th. Every day of our marital journey feels just like yesterday. The man I saw, without wealth but with unwavering hard work, has achieved great success today. I attribute this to my decision to follow my heart, choosing love and friendship over material wealth. Thanks for coming my way, darling husband ♥️

The man who complements me in everything 💕💕

We embarked on our journey with nothing and have built our lives up together. Despite my friends' expectations for more from him, I stood by my man, and here we are now, enjoying the success we created together. I could not have asked for a better partner than the one I found in him. The marriage standards I set for myself truly worked in my favor; I sought someone who would love me wholeheartedly and with whom I could build a home. Today, he is indeed a man after God's own heart.
