Well, let me tell you that it's one of the most promising series of 2026, and if you think it's only for Generation Z, you're wrong, because even though young people relate differently than us older folks, we're still human beings, and the problems we get ourselves into are the same as they've always been. Also, if you have teenagers at home, you should know that the way they think and relate to others is not the same as it is now, so it's important to pay attention to what they do and think.

Bueno, te cuento que es una de las series prometedoras de este 2026 y, si piensas que es solo para la generación Z, pues estás en lo incorrecto, porque, a pesar de que los jóvenes se relacionan de manera diferente de los que somos más adultos, seguimos siendo seres humanos y los problemas en que nos metemos son tan iguales como desde que el mundo es mundo. Además, si tienes adolescentes en casa, debes saber que las formas de pensar y relacionarse no son las mismas que ahora, así que es de ponerle atención a lo que hacen y piensan.
Why should you watch it?
First, I like the actors. They are all young, with extensive film careers (some of them), but unknown to me, so I had no problem not judging them or expecting anything more from them, and that allowed me to get a little more in tune with their characters.
On the other hand, I do know the actors who play the parents of these young people, so I said to myself, “You're old now” 🤣; those who were once our protagonists are now supporting characters. I like it because we should give this new talent and what they have to offer a chance.
Secondly, because college can be complicated. For those of us who went to college, we know what can happen and what can't.
I identified with many of the scenes or situations presented there, especially Lucy (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen (Jackson White), because today I am horrified or say that they are too intense in how they resolve things, but I had to take a mandatory exam about my time in college and, unfortunately, I was as manipulative, impulsive, deceitful, and aimless as each of the characters presented themselves. It was a hard blow for me because I never imagined the consequences of some decisions, but it was definitely a series that made me reflect.
Speaking of “teenage” problems, I also liked it because how are they relating to each other? What is going wrong at home? At what age should independence come? I ask this because the series shows that the problem seems to be that we normalize what should not be done. I see how Dayana (Alicia Crowder), Wrigley (Spencer House), Bree (Chaterine Missal), Pippa (Sonia Mena), and Evans (Branden Cook) are good young people; they have sad stories, but they are ordinary people whom life is leading to make bad decisions.
Are we all like that? They are definitely case studies in which, accompanied by lies, their behavior could have been better, but it seems that the more they “hit rock bottom,” the better. I think it's also part of growing up, and as we mature, we shed those “lifestyles” and set a course for ourselves. Not everyone succeeds!
¿Por qué debe verla? Primero, me gustan los actores. Todos son jóvenes, con una trayectoria en el cine muy amplia (para algunos), pero desconocida para mí, por lo que no juzgarlos o esperar algo más de ellos no fue problema, y me permitió sincronizarme un poco más con sus personajes. Por otro lado, los que hacen de padres de estos jóvenes sí los conozco, por lo que me dije: "Ya estás vieja" 🤣; los que antes eran nuestros protagonistas, hoy son los secundarios. Me gusta porque se les debe dar entrada a este nuevo talento y lo que tienen para ofrecer. En segundo lugar, porque la universidad puede ser complicada. Para aquellos que fuimos a una casa de estudios superiores, solo sabemos lo que puede pasar y lo que no. Me identifiqué con muchas de las escenas o situaciones que allí nos planteaban, sobre todo Lucy (Grace Van Patten) y Stephen (Jackson White), porque hoy me horroriza o digo que son demasiado intensos por cómo resuelven las cosas, pero tuve que hacer de manera obligatoria un examen sobre mi época en la universidad y, lamentablemente, fui tan manipuladora, impulsiva, mentirosa y sin rumbo como se presentaron cada uno de los personajes. Fue un duro golpe para mí, porque jamás imaginé las consecuencias de algunas decisiones, pero definitivamente fue una serie que me puso a reflexionar.
Hablando de los problemas de "adolescentes", también me gustó porque ¿cómo se están relacionando?, ¿qué es lo que está fallando en casa?, ¿la independencia a qué edad debería llegar? Y lo pregunto porque en la serie se evidencia que el problema pareciera que normalizamos lo que no se debe hacer. Veo cómo Dayana (Alicia Crowder), Wrigley (Spencer House), Bree (Chaterine Missal), Pippa (Sonia Mena) y Evans (Branden Cook) son buenos jóvenes; tienen historias tristes, pero son personas comunes a las que la vida los va orientando a tomar malas decisiones. ¿Será que todos somos así? Definitivamente, son casos de estudio que, acompañados con las mentiras, sus comportamientos pudieron ser mejores, pero pareciera que mientras más "se toca fondo", es mejor. Pienso que también es parte de crecer y, cuando se va madurando, se van quitando esos "estilos de vida" y vamos tomando un rumbo. ¡No todos lo logran!
I loved college, the parties, the independence of the dorms, the chosen careers because not everything is engineering or law; I also liked the insecurities, the low self-esteem of all of them, the problems the protagonists get into because it was very real, problems that young people face today; it seems like the director lived with them or did a very thorough study, managing to capture the essence of how confused and lost young people are, even if they want to treat them like adults.
And if you're wondering whether to watch it, I'll tell you that I LOVED THE ENDING! I was biting my nails during every episode, wondering what would happen, but the last two minutes were 😲 WHAT?! “DID HE REALLY DO THAT?” It was epic. I think Stephen did a wonderful job of tying up loose ends, where all the lies came out and many things were revealed. I was left speechless.
One thing I didn't like is that many stories were left unfinished: Lucy's mother, Stephen's family, Oliver's polygamy, and many more that could have provided more content, but I think that with everything we saw with our six main characters, it's enough for the almost hour-long episodes over the three seasons.
What will you find?
Sex, drugs, infidelity, parties, betrayal, manipulation, deception, alcohol, death, blackmail, bad decisions, corruption, failure of the family and educational system, and MANY LIES, too many that, although they sound harmless, teach us to “not do good things that seem bad.” Unfortunately, we also see these behaviors in adults 🙃.
Me encantó la escuela, las fiestas, la independencia de los dormitorios, las carreras elegidas porque no todo es ingeniería o leyes; también me gustaron las inseguridades, la baja autoestima de todos ellos, los problemas en los que se meten los protagonistas porque fue muy real, problemas que pasan los jóvenes hoy en día; pareciera que convivió o hizo un estudio muy minucioso la directora, que logró captar la esencia de lo confundidos y perdidos que están los jóvenes, así quieran tratarlos como adultos. Y si tienes dudas de verla, te cuento que ¡ME ENCANTÓ EL FINAL! Cada capítulo comía mis uñas pensando en qué pasaría, pero los últimos dos minutos fueron 😲 ¡QUEEEEE! "¿EN SERIO LO HIZO?", fue épico. Pienso que Stephen hizo un cierre maravilloso donde todas las mentiras cayeron y se descubrieron muchas cosas. Quedé con la boca abierta. Algo que no me gustó es que muchas historias quedaron inconclusas: la de la mamá de Lucy, la familia de Stephen, la poligamia de Oliver y muchas más que pudieron dar más contenido, pero considero que con todo lo que se vio con nuestros seis personajes principales, es suficiente para los capítulos de casi una hora durante las 3 temporadas.
¿Con qué te encontrarás? Sexo, drogas, infidelidades, fiestas, traiciones, manipulación, engaños, alcohol, muerte, chantaje, malas decisiones, corrupción, fallo del sistema familiar y educativo y, MUCHAS MENTIRAS, demasiadas que, aunque suenen inofensivas, nos enseñan que "no hagas cosas buenas que parezcan malas". Desafortunadamente, estos comportamientos también los vemos en personas adultas 🙃.

It seems to be a series that shows the current reality, but not only for teenagers but for all generations, because sometimes I wonder the same thing about generations. In my day, there were no letters like z, x, or cristal; we were just teenagers and nothing else. There are many problems that kids go through today, family, environment, society, and everything affects and mixes together.

Es una serie compleja y por eso digo no solo dirigido a adolescentes, porque de alguna manera u otra nos toca a todos. Es increible como me identifiqué en algunos momentos y no se trata de juzgar o asombrarse, es mirar criticamente lo que está pasando y hacia donde vamos como sociedad.
