Greenhouse, Sunshine, Cleaning, Mushrooms, Snow, Fire, Grilling, Chiefs - Friday

We are totally skipping the end of Winter it seems and going right to the start of Spring. Okay, so it's 24F this morning but yesterday morning it was 31/32F outside and when I got back from dropping the boys off at school the greenhouse was sitting at a nice 46F thanks to the bitcoin heater. It looks like I will have made exactly enough to have paid for the miner by the time the halving happens.

It took a few hours for the fog to burn off before we got sun for part of the day. It ended up being a bit short lived but it warmed things up enough I was able to go back to my kilt for working around the farm. I love my utility kilts and am in them any day I can. It is one of the true signs of Spring and Winter approaching, when I can start wearing or have to stop wearing my kilts due to temps.

I cleaned the decks off and got our table put back where they go for the year. The forecast looks like mild weather as far as they can predict so I feel comfortable in getting things prepped for the year.

Studio-A needed some cleaning done and I spent some time gathering cardboard and garbage and hauling them to the can and fire pit. I got the front porch cleaner and shifted a number of things around. I will have to do a lot more work on it as I have our old CRT tv on the porch that really needs to go somewhere.

During my cleaning I found a patch of fungus that was growing in the now snowless yard.

Around noon the clouds moved back over and while picking up the boys from school some pretty dark clouds moved in. Once back on the farm it was only about 15 minutes before the first snow began to fall.

Wave after wave of styrosnow fell with each getting heavier than the prior.

The final wave actually dropped a nice bit which subsequently melted off quickly.

The little cells dropped the snow and also dropped the temps back down so it was no longer kilt weather. Though it was super nice while it lasted.

About 4:30 I got the fire going in the fire pit for the evening and used it to burn up a bunch of the cardboard I had hauled up earlier in the day.

Following on our old school movies it was time for Tremors which had @stryeyz and the boys rapt attention. I remember the movie SUPER well as I saw it many times growing up. With my father being a collector of the ammunition that Burt loads in the elephant gun, oh hell, his arsenal would be a dream come true. It was the best movie of the exceptionally too many movie series that they ran into the ground.

Dinner was beefallo burgers with a nice slab of ham on top. Beefallork?

The buns then went on to toast a bit at the end.

We got out to soak a bit earlier. The Spokane Chiefs hockey team were playing the local rivals Tri-cities and they smashed them. It was 1-0 when we went out to soak and by the time I got out they were up 3-1 and shortly made it 5-1 which is what the score was at the end.

Today is our clear day before more rains come. It looks like the club will be heading south to fly today but I will be heading north to Chewelah and Parker's for a flight. As of now it looks like the family has to go with me as no other club members are heading north. The winds look best around 1pm or so. I like the idea of a 30 minute drive over the hour+ drive south. Tomorrow is my birthday so I'm wanting to get in this last flight of the age when I learned to paraglide. I'll grill again for dinner tonight and the Kraken finally play again.

Thanks. Way better than last year when I couldn't eat much after 5 teeth removed.
