RE: The energy cost of AI is not just a technical problem

There is a huge amount of debt being created to satisfy the current demand for data centers related to AI. The sad part is that corporations will write-off losses and past it on to the tax payers. Not to mention the higher risks added to electrical grids that are already over stressed.

Canada just made some significant announcement to more than double its grid capacity in 5 years and maybe triple by 2050. Get ready for some extreme pricing for electricity in areas that do not have low cost power generation.
